maybe i'm looking the the full half of the cup, but i am somewhat optimistic about eddie griffin turning a corner. is there any word out of the organization that they may consider taking another low risk chance with him? although j howard has been playing well recently, it sure would be nice to have someone to help yao on the defensive end. any realistic chance?
Notice ever since Griffin got there they've been losing. anyways, the Rockets are beyond needing to take a chance on anybody anymore. They're past that point. They dont need to bargain with nobody. Heres the Houston Rockets organizations attitude about all this right about now. "You want to come play for a championship contender?" "come on down, we'll see what WE can do for YOU"
I agree. Minnesota isn't losing because of a lack of talent. They are underchieving because the individuals are putting themselves ahead of the team. When we played them, Eddie and KG were arguing loudly in the first quarter. I don't know what it was about, but I know KG plays with heart.
i doubt that the rockets will try to pursue griffin this offseason, but he has done very well this year considering the rocky past he has had. i hope he does well wherever he may end up. i wouldnt mind him coming back here if we can get him cheap (provided that swift or chandler do not come). but i do hope that the rockets in the next 2 years try to pursue younger talent to surround yao and tracy. i love the supporting cast right now but in 2 years they will more than likely be too old to be playing (cept sura and howard) at a high level.
I know EG is getting all kinds of hype, but he's not doing hardly any better than he did when he was here.
Nah, not because i think EG is a bad player but because I think he needs to be elsewhere. Houston is not the best fit for him mentally. That guy has or had some issues when he was here so he needs to be somewhere where he can become the good player he can be.
if you think about it, EG is exactly the type of PF that we need. He doesn't need the ball to be effective. all he does is rebound block shot and shoot three. And he is doing a very decent job at it.
No. Houston's team is now full of homebodies while Eddie is a clubber and potter. Portland would be a much better fit for Eddie than Houston.
