With all the efforts from the Rockets staff, and expecting Yao to be back the next year, and supposing there will be a signing of a big free agent, do you think rocket fans that houston's gonna win a champ' within the next 5 years?

abstain - ask again at the begining of next season.

It really all depends on what happens in 2010.

I voted "Yes" AND "No", simply because you were foolish enough to allow me to.

5 years is a big window.

You would have to say yes based on the great role players we have. As long as we can sign a healthy superstar next season and Yao comes back (hopefully) and has resolved season ending foot injuries the sky is the limit.

    Yes

With Tracy's expiring contract and Yao (whether it's because of him staying healthy or being dealt ), the Rockets will be loaded.

When you put what we get out of these two situations with.....

    Brooks
    Scola
    Landry
    Battier
    Lowry
    Budinger
    Taylor

..and the possibility of one or more of these guys in a deal too.

    Throw in Mr. Monocle himself..

Barring injury, we have title.....s !?!?

    Stay fockassed.

If Yao and McGrady both stay healthy and happy for a complete, full season during that time, then yes. If the Yao and McGrady had been health last season the Rockets would have probably won it all.

But as we have seen over the last few years, that is a big if.

Not until we bring in some stars. I think Yao is a great player but not durable to play the entire season including the playoffs. People talk about T-Mac and his injuries, Yao is not excluded.

I go ahead and assume we are going with McGrady/Yao for the next 5 years and they will remain at 85% health. Unless we add a high tier player like Amare, Bosh, or even an Artest level guy the answer is no. Not enough talent. The NBA contenders are LOADED.

    Lol... Stop.. :(

And I'm not sure... There are a lot of really good teams that will still be around in the next five years...
I think we'll have to go to the finals twice before we win a championship.
