This is a big issue...with Moochie, Stevie, Cuttino occupied at the guard spot, its pretty obvious that Shandon isnt that important, Soo will the Rockets sign him ot trade him? (Remember he took the minimum just to play with us)

"its pretty obvious that Shandon isnt that important"

Who is that obvious to? You do realize that there is a part of the game called defense right?

Lets hope Mo does better posting on these boards than he does getting on them at the bball court.

Mo as a bi-uid? Scary thought.

Yes, Shandon is important, when you consider the defensive end. We need to resign him.

By the way, cool nick! [IMG]

What the Rockets think is irrelevant - Shandon has the option on the 3rd and final year of his contract, so he can choose to play here or not.

As for it being "pretty obvious" that Shandon isn't that important - you are out of your mind. He is the most consistent, and in my mind, best player on the Rockets. You don't have to jack-up 20 shots a night to be "important". What annoys the heck out of me is Shandon sitting in the last period while Moochie plays in a three guard set (as was the case last Satrurday against Phoenix).

I was hoping for some more 3 guard line-ups this year, but never in my wildest thoughts did I think it would be Moochie and not Shandon getting the minutes.

Man I din't even know that davo. That does piss me off, just a whole lot. Shandon needs to be used more in all aspects of the game. In transition, in the post, slashing to the basket. The only situation he doesn't do well in is isolation. So unless Rudy T. does something it looks like a farewell tour not just the Dream. And give the big guys(Mo-T, Shandon Anderson, Dream, KT) the damn ball Franchise, Mooch and Cat. Stop shooting all the time and make a pass.

Shandon Anderson is the most complete player in the Rockets roster consider he is not involve in the offensed that much in their last few games, but I'm certain that he is the key person inorder the Rockets to succeed. No one else plays as hard as Shandon on defensive end every game!!! Why don't you name me a Rockets, who play better defense than Shandon!!!

I suppose it's inevitable that someone who names themselves after MoTaylor would overlook our best defensive player.

By the way Shandon plays small forward and not a guard!Regardless, Shandon still plays better defense than those 3, No offense,MO!

There is no question that re-signing Shandon is going to be huge for the Rockets' future. The guy is a defensive stopper, and is one of the best in the league at moving without the ball. Unfortunately, his off-the-ball skills are being underused in the Rocks iso offense. But this will improve as the team continues to mesh. It would really set them back if he bolts. If there is a player that may not be worth re-signing, it's MoTay himself. Jeez, 2.6 rpg from your starting power forward?! The guy is softer than Barkley's backside. He's now getting outrebounded by Stevie, Cuttino, Shandon, and Walt Williams. He and David Falk are going to have trouble keeping a straight face when they ask for the maximum next year.

What is Shandon going to be asking for? That is the question. Is he going to be worth the amount of money he will be seeking? Probably not. He's not contributing offensively. Anderson is no good to us if he can't score. He either needs to find a comfort zone or we've got to bag him. There are other defensive players out there who would be less expensive. He's not going to be worth his asking price. I like Shandon, but I'm not stupid either. He hasn't proven that he's a piece to the Rocket's puzzle. He may be elsewhere, but right now he's out of place.
