I say no.

I know that the absolute tallywhacking they're putting on the Avalanche is completely off the charts, but they're clearly the better team than anything the East has.

Kind of like the NBA, in that regard

Right on Puedlfor -- Carolina has NO CHANCE against Detroit. I was expecting a close 2-1 game tonight with the Red Wings and Avs, but I think we were all BLOWN AWAY by the real result.

What are the Hurricanes even doing in the finals?

I call for a Detroit sweep.

Detroit in 6 or 7 - it'll be closer than everyone thinks. Would not be shocked to see Carloina make it very tough on Detroit.

Canadiens just beat the number one seed this is their season they are a team of destiny. Theadore is hot and going to shut down the Canes.
Canes Win in 6

Leafs vs. Canes? please CuJo is going to shut the Canes down.
Canes Win in 6

So of course my CANES are going to WIN in 6.

The Wings will lose a few in the finals but will win 4-2. They just have too much depth for Carolina. Plus they just put a beaten on their arch-nemesis in game 7.

GO WINGS!!!

I think you mean Game 7.

True and also in 1995 the Devils played the Wings and much like this year the Wings were predicted to sweep.
So what happened in '95?
It was a sweep.... for the DEVILS.

I've heard a few people up here comparing the Canes to another underdog team from here in Raleigh. You guys surely remember them... They played basketball in 1983. Yea you know the story.

well yeah, but do you belive new england could have beaten st.louis in a seven game series? i personally don't. in fact, i don't think new england would have beaten pittsburgh in a seven game series...which is why football is single elimination.

I guess it's too late to say Detroit in 4 … I'll take Detroit in 5, though. It'll be raining octopi before this is all said and done.
