Now that it is all said and done, do you think the Heat will be the champs this coming up season? I do not.
Too hard for them this year. Empty roster and no MLE to use. They can do it but would need 4 vets who can play to take the min to join them, plus Mario Chalmers has to work out. Give them a year, having the MLE to use will make them formidable, give them 2 years and 2 MLE guys, that team would challenge for 72 wins.
No. They have a big3 but no 4,5, or 6's. My only concern is what will Lebron fans say when he's fail yet again. NO MORE EXCUSES NOW
And I got banned from a Miami board not for "trash talking" but for daring to suggest that they don't have enough depth to win next year. Yeah, **** logic. Miami fans are such front-running bandwagon fans. They deserve nothing.
better question would be: What happens if the Heat lose in the first or second round of the playoffs?
No...they have 4 guys on their roster. Their other 5-6 rotation guys are all gonna be league minimum players. So they have 10 guys on their rotation and only 2 (Wade and Chalmers) have played together. I'm sure some vets are gonna flock to the Heat midseason but its still going to take time to gel. They have no true defending/rebounding big so they're gonna be outclassed here...especially by D-Howard. This is without a doubt their #1 priority. I read a lot about how they need spot up shooters as well... but thats priority #2. They NEED a big unless they wanna copy the Amare-era Suns. And it'll be a failure if they do without a push-it PG like Nash. Anyway, Boston is the only comparison to this Heat team. But in their first year, they had good depth AND an emerging superstar in Rondo. I don't think the Cavs will win it this year. But in the next 5 years? For sure they will win 1...It's inevitable. Do I want them to ever win 1? No, I hope Bosh and Lebron finish their career ringless. I thought Kobe was bad 5 years ago with his attention whoring but these guys took it to a new level of d-bagness. I hope these guys mature. In a few years when they look back to this year, I'm sure they will realize what a bunch of clowns they were.
Didn't the Lakers try the All Star approach a few years ago with Malone, et al.? It didn't work. I don't think this one will either. On the other hand, it worked for Boston. For some reason I don't see the games of LBJ and DWade as compatible.
Kobe and Gasol will three-peat next year...... after that.... Kobe will be declining...the celtics will all be in a retirement home.... They will be the best players....the best team....for close to a decade....winning maybe 5-6 rings......nobody will be able to hang....maybe durants team...but there wont be enough.... Durant gets Carmelo?....Paul to Magic?....something like that will have to happen for some competition....
