I'm sick of seeing people say, "Well this season, Tracy will play harder because of (insert random reason)." Now, I've seen a more recent reason why Tracy will "irrefutably" play harder: we have Artest, and that will somehow magically make him try. While I personally love the deal, I still don't know if McGrady will stop making excuses. His "omg I got hurtz and I need to make a big deal about it" antics during this year's playoffs sicken me. His premature talk of retirement sickens me. His excuses for not playing well sicken me. I'm not taking away from his 40 pt Game 6 or his potential; I'm just saying that his laziness and his excuses are annoying.

Now, I feel that Tracy has no further excuse to play well. If he fails to meet our expectations, then he has indubitably fallen from NBA elite status.

Will T-Mac regrow the balls he had during the 04-05 season? And if he won't, can we still seriously contend for a championship?

T-mac is what T-mac is, and I am happy with what he is.

I never understood why people harsh on him so much. Because he doesn't run around frenetically? That's not his game or who he is. He's an explosive player. At his age and 10 years or whatever it is he has been in the league - he's not going to change.

You take him as he is or not.

He will only get respect if he wanted to act like a ******* like Kobe.

It would have been nice if T-Mac averaged 30 pts and 10 rebs in the playoffs, but he's just a playoff flop. Zforrest, don't get your hopes up buddy.

This trade allows T-Mac to be T-Mac, we don't expect him to change now, we can accept his flaws, because Ron Ron brings everything to the table that this guy lacks. He's such a great fit due to this......that's why I think people in here are so happy......

Tracy doesn't need to grow what he can simply borrow from Ron.

The critcism is just so unfair. Carrying the team without Yao. Even Kobe has more help than T-mac did.

I think T-mac is so happy because finally he has a team that can advance.

I don't know, but to me, most people like athletes who are flashy and show boat a lot. And since McGrady doesn't do that crap or I guess show "enthusiasm", he will always be labeled as a lazy person and not a leader.

I should just shut up, huh?

Its amazing in a team sport where chemistry and different pieces fitting together is so important that criticism like this is levied everywhere. I've seen one guy in recent years almost singlehandedly get his team into the second round of the playoffs: Lebron James, and that has more to do with being in the East then anything else.

Um.... Yeah???? Of course I did, and I saw him play in Orlando, too. His passion has since diminished horrifically.

as someone else said, he is what he is.

Don't expect a big change. I do, however, expect everyone else to think he's changed just like they did with Paul Pierce last year.
