Averaging 20 & 6 this season and shooting over 45% from 3 at 6 p/g + 90% FT! One of my favorite players to watch, reminds me of a Steve Nash with less vision but much better defense. I think he's easily been the best PG in the West this season, him and that entire Warriors team have been playing above everyone's expectations.
I'm pretty sure this guy came out of the womb shooting jumpers. That said I'd like to see a few more assists + steals (currently 6.5 + 1.6, respectively) pg before he becomes an all-star but he is certainly that caliber of player.
Lin isn't getting in dummy. The only way Curry gets in is coaches vote because fans are voting in Kobe and Paul as starters (the current top 2).
I think he has a chance to be better player than both Cp3 and Parker. Especially, Parker. The reason being is, he can score both in the paint and with his deadly range. His passing will improve as it has so far because when he was in Davidson, all he did was score.
You're probably right. James, Westbrook & Parker will be the reserves. Paul & Kobe the starters. As talented as Westbrook is he's shooting 40% on the season. Curry is more deserving.
I don't get this. Curry's in a bad situation. If he was in the East, he would definitely get in, but as it is, he's not at the level of Parker, Westbrook, and Harden. Shame.
My Western Conference All-Star Game Predictions. (Note that these are predictions of what the coaches think and who the fans will vote for.) There are going to be a lot of shameful snubs, because there are only 12 spots and the West is even more stacked than usual this season. Those spots may be taken by: 1. Kobe Bryant 2. Chris Paul 3. Russell Westbrook 4. Kevin Durant 5. Tim Duncan 6. Blake Griffin 7. Dwight Howard 8. David Lee 9. James Harden 10. Tony Parker 11. ???? 12. ???? Those last two spots are the real question marks. I believe they will go to LaMarcus Aldridge and Marc Gasol, with Steph Curry in by a commissioner's selection if another player is injured and unable to play. I doubt he makes it in otherwise. Reasoning: With Golden State surging, the coaches will feel the need to make sure the Warriors are "represented" at the All Star Game. The feeling may be that that base is covered already with the addition of David Lee, who is having a standout season himself. There may also be some buzz about giving Dirk another All Star nod, but that would be based strictly on past performance and reputation, and certainly not what will have been just 5 weeks of play after returning from an injury, or the Dallas Mavericks' very mediocre record.
He's better than Parker IMO, but not as good as Westbrook and Harden. It'll be close between him and Parker, but I think Parker will make it.
I've got a better question, though. "Does Kevin Love make the all-star team this season?" Even with the understanding that once you're selected to the All Star team, you're sort of in this little club from that point on and are more likely to garner future selections even if you're having a bad season, I'm not sure Kevin Love makes the team. Which is surprising, but there it is.
I don't think Dirk gets in this year. He literally came back like a week ago. There's more deserving players such as Zach Randolph and Kevin Love. I think one Warrior (Lee) is enough. If Tony Parker rests or has a mysterious injury then I wouldn't mind Curry getting the nod. The thing is there are snubs every year. Ain't nothing new.
