You have to admit one thing about Putin, his strategy is brilliant. He has successfully brought America to its heels by fostering division and anger amongst groups. From election interference to stoking white nationalists and spread of misinformation via FB and other social media outlets, he's successfully run the most masterful propaganda programs into a foreign country. It's not a new kind of warfare but it's been executed in a new way, and I must say to perfect results. https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2020/06/putin-american-democracy/610570/
You’re giving him way too much credit this is a self-inflicted wound if anything. We voted for these assholes and now we have to live with the results of our decisions.
No doubt, but he has a long history of inciting discord in US politics and it does seem to pay dividends.
KGB-like spooks are always probing for weaknesses in our system. We're more afraid of China's psy-ops than Russia's because we consider the latter "contained" Putin did not game every GOP primary to a Donny victory. Like big donors, they placed bets on the roulette table for both sides... The slow decay of the midwest/Rust Belt has been a multi-generation process. They simply wanted a different answer to the limp replies given by both candidates since the first Bush. And the South? More toxic in race relations than the Middle East.
Given how close elections are - and how much of our national discourse changes on the actions of a handful of people - I think the article shows how much influence the KGB has been able to excercise successfully. Sorry - I had forgotten to post the link
His method of spreading hate via ads and edited comments in all social media platforms is ridiculously genius. Hes making bigots at the speed of light.
gift link will work for everyone An overreaching Putin refused to take yes for an answer The Russian president has a chance to escape his Ukraine disaster. He’s blowing it. https://wapo.st/3ZaCWmG
We all remember when this evil POS took over and let his sailors die in the sunken nuclear sub because he wouldn't accept our help because mother Russia doesn't need help
No, he will go down as a ruthless dictator, and he will fall hard, just as every other dictator does. DD
For the sale of clarity, are you positing that being a ruthless dictator and intelligence are mutually exclusive?
