Say what you will about Wojo, but he's certainly not afraid to show his balls.

It's one thing to criticise Lebron or William Wesley, but man, now he's just brutal in the latest piece about Prokhorov. As we all know, Prokhorov is Russian and has a Russian accent, which means (according to the award-winning documentary Easter Promises) he is a savage mobster who does not hesistate to order Wojo whacked (or at least knows people like what who woudl do it for him).

Lol, he's a writer. He stares through a computer monitor and glass panel at the lives of other people and makes his career speculating about them. Where exactly do balls come into play?

Sounds like a frightened kid to me, scared of the impending change that a global climate brings. A kid that I'm going to b**** slap back to suburban Idaho for whining too much.

Prokhorov hasn't even been with the team for a year and is getting called all sorts of things just for trying. That too, before the new CBA and move to Brooklyn.

^^ some of what you are saying is confusing...

but i agree generally. i doubt Prokhorov is too concerned or cares what Wojo thinks, and I see no problem in what he did.

The guy has a vendetta against the new kid in town and all facets of change, and it makes him sound like a senile 60 year old who's angry his daughter is dating a big bad black guy. He wants his playground to stay just the same as it was before. It's small minded thinking.

I wonder how Woj still has any sources left after all the hatchet jobs he's written. I'm starting to think that his sources are the only redeeming feature of his writing and otherwise he's just an opinionated jerk in the mold of Charley Rosen. I used to think that he was insightful but these hate articles are getting ridiculous.

On the whole, I don't have a problem with Prokhorov saving face for his franchise and cutting off talks before Carmelo can humiliate them them anymore. What I do have a problem with though is him undercutting his General Manager and not filling him in on his decision. At the end of the day, they are on the same team, and any decisions that are made should be made in partnership. All this does is create a rift between King and Prokhorov, and ultimately, when that happens, things never end well.

When you are getting paid by Mark Cuban or Jerry Jones, or Prokhorov, that is what you get.

    Meh, weird angle for Woj.

There's no way this makes the top 10 embarrassing moments for the Nets. Maybe not the top 20.

Was Prokhorov saving face a bit? Sure.
Will it help him snag good talent? Probably not.
Did the current players like it? It seems they did.

But, Woj, like some "news" stations on politics, is getting viewership by ramping up his rhetoric. More of us just read this lame article than would have otherwise, and it's because he's being hyperbolic. Today's America really rewards that, sad to say.

Props to Prok for putting his foot down on the Nuggets, in effect, calling their bluff. This deal would have moved forward (though not necessarily completed) weeks ago if it weren't for the ridiculous Al Harrington demand. Hell, just getting Favors in exchange for Melo would have been a good deal. The Nuggets should have been falling over themselves to get the deal done, rather than holding out for more.

The Nuggets and their absurd GM/Owner combo are far more comical than the Nets at this point. The nets have a much brighter future.

i think Prokhorov did the right thing. The Nets were past the point of looking desperate but I would also blame the Nuggets, they also are inexperienced and the deals didnt go well.

Denver's asking price was a bit crazy, and to think NJ was willing to pay that is crazy aswell.

I think the same thing will happen again with whoever tries to trade for melo. Denver needs to either do it or dont do it. Quit with all this BS from them.

    "Eastern Promises".

    "Show his balls."

Heh heh. Heh heh. I see what you did there.

No WAY will I post a picture for anyone who doesn't know the reference.

I'm okay with what the Nyets owner did. At least he didn't say "I'm tired of getting jerked around."

He does have big 00nes. I like him because he leaks more or as much information as Stein does.

    Ding ding.

He does it to a fault.

It's the Glen Beck effect. "Policy mistake" or "erroneous player valuation" doesn't get you Nelson ratings or page views. "Tyranny!" and "Incompetent joke owner!" "Evil shadowy agents!" are what it takes to get you eyeballs.

Um, Woj (along with Ken Berger, and Chris Sheridan) had dinner with Prokorov last night, after the presser. I haven't seen the other two table mates write something along these lines.

I like Woj, but I think his wrong on this one.

Prokhorov wanted to set foot and let others know how he deals with such drama

he is all about business in my opinion and didn't want to let this kind of kinky trade drama be the main focus to his organization

Yeah, takes gigantic balls to write about other people on the internet where the most interaction you will probably get with that person is watching them speak at a press conference. You can say that he is a pointed writer with scathing opinions, but it does not take any balls to talk **** about people from behind a computer.

Maybe it doesn't take huge balls, but it ain't exactly cowardly, either.
