After mixed results in the interview last night, where Palin looked confident but unexperienced or informed on some topics, do you guys think McCain will let her go out and campaign on her own. Usually, the VP and P split up and have seperate press corps tracking both. Personally, I think McCain needs Palin to energize his rallies, but that will cut their coverage down by half. Also, I think Palin is way underqualified, and the McCain campaign knows it, and they are going to want to shelter her as much as possible. I don't think she is stupid, but I do think she is just not up to speed on much of anything other than Alaska and energy. So, do you guys think she will be out campaigning on her own, will McCain sequester her or not? Also, if you think not much, then why? DD
I am just wondering if people think she will be allowed to campaign on her own as is usual. Or will they keep a short leash on her? DD
DD, your obsession with Palin is getting to unhealthy levels. Take a breather before you turn into full fledged stalker.
I believe this is one of the most important elections in US history, and if Palin took over as President due to an aging man with cancer issues ( I have read up to an 85% chance of that happening due to some actuary tables), it would be devestating to our country. People are always afraid to vote in a public poll....lol. DD
Why vote in a poll where the question is "will"? That's like asking "Will the Astros make the playoffs"? I think they can, but whether or not they will is another story. In the same vein, Palin should do what needs to be done in order to increase her party's chances to win in November. If campaigning alone is the right strategy, go for it. If campaigning with McCain is the right strategy, do that. Personally, I could care less if she campaigns on her on.
McCain's camp is already saying they like the crowds she draws for him and if they travel together, she doesn't have a dedicated press contingent to deal with.
After the ABC interview, I'm sure the campaign is convinced they need to keep her under wraps and only let her out during 'show time'.
On CNN, I just heard a lifelong democratic lady in Kentucky that said she was going to vote for McCain now because of Palin. And that she was a mom just like her.... Well, I guess if you want a Soccer ...errrr....Hockey mom running your country, you get a chance to make that happen. Personally, I think that is ignorant, I want someone that is good at running government and dealing with world leaders running my country...but....hey...everyone gets a vote. DD
I wonder if Hannity will be able to keep his tongue out of her ass long enough to ask her a question.
