Not to clown Hakeem but will he make it through this year with the breathing problems. I hope he does cause there is no one who is a bigger supporter of Dream than me. I mean you have a lot of clowns on this board who question whether hakeem is giving a full a effort and that's a joke. You also have a bunch of joker's on this board who think Dream is just trying to get the money and run and that is a joke too. So all you clown jokers who question hakeem need to get off it cause the guy tries hard but with no air what can he do.

Hakeem will be great this year. I think we may see the Dream of two years ago(18-9). If not, then 14-8 will be excellent anyway.
I can't wait until the season starts, then Rudy will hopefully give Hakeem some decent minutes.

    your spelling is a joke.

Actually, aside from "joker's" there isn't one single spelling error in Coach's post.

Yes, the grammar is atrocious and the sentence structure is non-existent, but the spelling is perfectly fine. [IMG]

After 16 years in the big leagues, 37 year old Hakeem Olajuwon has trudged to center court for over 4000 quarters. But this season, he's playing against time, he's playing against the future, against age, against ending. This season, he will make the fateful walk to the highest summit in the world, the NBA Finals, to push the sun back into the sky and give us one more championship.

I don't mean to be hatin' on Dream, cuz we all think he's the best, but I really don't like this season for him. Now, this is obviously premature, uninformed, and all, but still -- At the Spurs game, IMO Dream looked atrocious out there. Slow, predictable, and overall bad. Robinson just killed him on every attempted dreamshake. I dunno . . . we need more time, of course, and dream is a legend, he deserves all his praise, but looking at the here and now, he doesn't look too great, from what I saw in San Antonio.

I didn't see the Seattle game, but how did Dream look? He made 4-6 from the field and snared 3 boards. Was he labouring up and down the court? If not then I'll take that sort of production (well maybe a couple more boards would be nice!).
Did he score his points from an individual effort or did he do it by recieving passes?

The passed the ball to Dream tonight and he went out there and got the job done. He was much better than Ewing tonight imo because he went out and got his shots and helped penetrate the ball also. Did anyone see that one block Dream had on Ewing which they called a goaltending?!?!?!? THAT WAS WRONG!! It was a clean block, I recorded the game so I watched it over, and over, and over, and over, and over...well you get the point. Oh yes, at one point in the game, Dream was in the paint gaurded by Ewing and Rashard ( I think) and he invented this new move, and faked them out and went to the otherside of the basket for an easy 2.

    ------------------
Francis out top, 9 seconds on the clock, he gives a no look pass to Cuttino Mobley, 4 seconds left, Mobley passes to an open Langhi in the corner with 1 second left! Langhi at the buzzer.......YES!!! How Sweet It Is!!

    **rubs eyes some more**

    Holy crap! [IMG]

COACH actually made all the way through a post without using the words "Pacers" or "cheated"! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    **shakes off shock and surprise**

Oh, and back on topic . . . Hakeem will likely play decent, but not exceptionally this year [IMG]

I dont know why everyone worries about what Hakeem is going to do this season. He is one of the best centers to ever play this game, and knows his game. His role may have changed, but he will give all he has got. I think that the formula for winning will come from great offense from the backcourt and good defense from the front. Hakeem shouldnt have to prove himself anymore, he is the anchor of this franchise and without him, the rocket would be nothing. This new team should compete for the playoffs, and any role Hakeem will play will only get them closer to this goal.
