It does not really matter who starts games, but in non-blowout games, it matters who finishes games. Who does McHale have confidence in to either put away opponents or make a late comeback? This will show whether or not Lin or Bev is in the long term plans for the organization.
Is clutchfans this UN-original? Every damn thread is about Jeremy Lin. I'm glad I don't have banning authority or you sir would get BANNED!!!
Bev will start and finish. I think Lin is not really in the Rockets long term plans. Probably best for him and Will likely flourish elsewhere.
Yes. See here: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?p=8325666#post8325666 Morey alluded to it and Haralabos Voulgaris agrees. Could be adjustments depending on matchups and who has it going best each game, but this is likely the crunch time group more often than not.
lmao... you must have just read my post? http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=8336974&postcount=334
Looking at the playoff caliber teams in the west most have point guards as one of the top two players on each team: Chris Paul, Westbrook, Lillard, Holiday, Parker, Currey, Conley. The best defensive player needs to be guarding them. Beverly is by far the better defensive player.
I'm sure it's been mentioned a few times, but Morey said a few weeks ago on the Proper Gentlemen that he sees Lin and Bev together closing games with Harden at the 3, a PF TBD, and Howard.
Depends on the matchup. Some games Beverley. Some games Lin. Some games both. What, were you looking for an easy answer? Life isn't that simple buddy.
Who cares as long as we win. But really it depends on matchups and if we need quick points and attack the defense?(as lin is very good at getting to the rim) or we need to defend a elite PG like Paul, Parker or Westbrook.I just don't see both of them on the floor on the floor at the end of to many games. Parsons at the 4 will get monster in the low post and Harden is not a 3.
If both are having average games, and if not both is playing... Im thinking Lin, he'd probably do a good job setting up Howard and wouldn't give any bad fouls. If the opposing teams PG is going off we'd prob go with bev though.
I can easily see Bev finishing 75% of the games. The other 10-15% Lin and Bev will finish games. The final 5% will be Lin finishing games with no Bev, which is basically only when he's playing phenomenally like the 28 pts against OKC. Oh and in case its not obvious already McHale loves Bev.
