As soon as the rockets were knocked off the playoffs. I lost interest. Sure I kept up with the scores and whatnot, but I never sat down to watch a game.

Now that the cavs are going to the finals though I feel intrigued. There is no way I would watch another Pistons Spurs finals. But now I wanna be watching when...what about you. Did King James make you change your plans when it came to the finals

    no...

    watch for what?

I'll tell you how it's gonna go.

here are some things you can expect to hear during the finals.

"James blows the chalk, wow isn't he the greatest? MJ couldn't even do that til he was 26!"

"James gets off the chair. he's the greatest of all time!"

"Look at how James smiles. I'llt ell you something, no man his age could pull that kind of smile off. NOONE!"

"James is 1-24, but you know how the greats are. They lull you into a false sense of securit and then BAM! They nail a shot and suddenly they're not shooting 0% anymore."

"I heard MJ, Hakeem, Bird, Mchale, Magic, Kareem, Jerry West, Bill Russel, even the ghost of Wilt have all called up Lebron this weekend. TThey all recognize greatness when they see it."

"and Lebron James shoots his 31st free throw of the game. One more quarter to go folks, isn't this exiciting basketball?"

"Do you realize that at Lebron's age, most people are still being weaned off their mother's milk and learning how to crawl? Lebron has come so far for someone so young."

"and the Cavs lose the series 4-1. What a great first step for Lebron. here's to hoping and wishing that he will win the next 5 championships and we change the Cavs names to the Lebrons."

I wasn't going to watch at all, but now I will. It's because of what he did in Game 5. I was stupid enough to turn that game off. This time, if he does something like that again, I'm not going to miss it.

I will, however, watch with the 'mute' button on. Don't want to hear the announcers suck his ****.

I'll watch. A twisted part of me even hopes Lebron and the Cavs win this series (just to deny the spurs another ring  ). Although the implications of any cavs victory would have the national media on Lebron's jock with no end in sight. :(

Ahh well, at least it's not a Spurs-Pistons yawnfest.

The poll is about watching the game, not listening to it.

I'll add though it's fun to watch Lebron, obsessive-compulsive media attention aside. The way the guy just barrels down the lane every time, there's not a lot you can do sometimes when he's driving to the paint. The guy's a mobile 6'8 guard with the build of a center. Maybe it's because I never saw Magic actually play and Lebron's the only real similar player in the league for his height/weight that compares to Magic.

    Other.

Since basketball is the only sport on the planet, I'd have watched regardless. Being I grew up in NE Ohio, I won't miss a minute. :D

Its making me watch. I would have watched Pistons/spurs but just the 4th quarter. Now I wont miss a second b/c you never know what LeBron will do next.

There defintely is a buzz about this years finals similar to last years. Dallas/Miami and San Antonio/Cleveland are the two most sexiest finals this decade IMHO.

No. Because aside from the First round, the playoffs have been extremely BORING.. (minus LeBron's 48 pts)

So I might watch the first game or two, but won't be following it as closely as I did the First round.. Not that big of a deal to me.

    I hear you, believe me.

But you know what? If he carries the Cavs to a championship over the spurs, he will actually deserve a lot of that hype.

the announcing is part of watching it. I'd like to turn them off but then I'd miss the sounds of the game itself. If they broadcast this game like how they did the Rox-Magic game a year ago on NBA TV, I would probbaly watch

I wonder if LeBron will get the referee love that D-Wade got in last years finals. If he does, and he gets 29,586,829,583 Free Throws like Wade did, I think The Cavs could actually take them. Im for Cleveland, all the way.

My prediction for this series....Lebron breaks at least 1 or two Free Throw Shooting records that Wade set last year.

I won't watch because the Cavs would be a marginal playoff team in the west. They have no execution to speak of. I might have a glance had the Pistons advanced, although the current Pistons are no match to the Spurs. The Cavs in the NBA finals is a joke. The 2007 Eastern conference is worse than the NFC and the NL. It is the worst in the history of the NBA.

you are probably right considering that every seed on the western side could demolish the Cavs.

I'll watch regardless. I'm kinda hoping the Spurs totally demolish and embarrass them in all 4 games just to show them how much of a joke the East is. Another part of me wants these games to be close and competitive so they can be viewable for all fans.

I'm going to watch the NBA Finals regardless. I thought the Pistons were going to make it a rematch of the Finals from two years ago but the Cavs showed more heart and toughness in their series. It's going to be interesting to see LeBron and the Cavs on the main stage with their young players.

I predict the Spurs to win the series in 5 games. The Spurs have too much Playoffs experience and they don't lose their composure unlike the Pistons did. They'll win in Cleveland and Duncan will be MVP.
