Twins lose again. They are now down 3-1 in the ALCS but I'm not panicking just yet. Remember in the 86 ALCS when the Angels had a 3-1 series lead over the BoSox and then blew it and lost? They missed it by one strike. I have a feeling it's going to be 1986 all over again for the Angels.

They don't really have top-notch starters...

I know the Twins don't either, but if the Twins were up 3-1, I would be thinking the same thing.

The fact that both teams haven't been in this situation in a long time, makes me skeptical about what will happen in the series.

Problem: Twins don't have 24 year old Roger Clemens.

The Angels bullpen tandem of Rodriguez/Percival is on fire right now and I don't see them losing 3 in a row with that kind of firepower in the pen. When the Angels have a lead it's really only a 6/7 inning game right now. Rodriguez is Dotel'ish right now.

Washburn's about as top line as you can come behind the big 3 of Zito, Pedro, and Lowe in the AL.

Appier's freakishly consistant...and not the bad kind of consistant, either. Lackey's just a rookie, but he's a damn good one, as is Rodriguez.

Ramon Ortiz has always had talent, but given up too many HR. This year is no different, but he's pitched better around it and had a very nice season.

They may not have the name recognition, the flame throwers, or the hype the other teams may have, but the Angels have a very nice rotation from front to end.

    When compared to Minnesota, yes...

For some reason, I just don't feel like the best 4 teams in the MLB are playing right now. I'

..thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard...

what the hell do the 86 angels have to do with the 2002 angels?

thats like comparing the 62 yankees to the 89 reds

they have absolutely nothing to do with each other..

    totally different personel..

just because its the same franchise doesnt mean its the same result.

Yeah... it's not like we're talking about the Astros here. The Angels are solid.

A lifelong Astros fan, I now live just a few miles away from Edison Field. Win or lose, I am hoping for a 7-game series, because I have tickets to game 7. (Couldn't score any earlier games).

    Go Angels!!!:D

The Angels are one of the best stories in baseball in a longtime. An Angels-Giants World Series would pretty much ruin a Dodgers fan's life, wouldn't it?
