My buddy and I are having a little debate. He thinks there is no way in hell that Francis could dunk on MJ... I disagree.. His argument is that MJ is too solid defensively and wouldn't allow that to happen. I tend to think that MJ's lateral movement on defense will be one of the biggest drop off's due to his age and that he won't be able to keep up with some of the faster players in the league. I also think Francis could dunk on just about anyone he wants... Any thoughts?
Trust me......Franchise WILL dunk on Jordan. It has always been a dream of his. I can't wait. Some of the best players in the league will finally get their chance to shake MJ right out of his jockstrap.
Steve some of the best vertical leaping ability in the league, especially for his size. He could probably dunk on Jordan, but I do not think we will see it. MJ has purposely avoided these situations over the years, which is one reason you never see highlight films with him getting dunked on. I don't think Steve could dunk on Shaq. Shaq is just too big. I would love to see him dunk on John Stockton and then watch John pull one of his famous flops (with no foul called, of course).
Then Cuttino and Rudy would get kicked out screaming and yelling at the refs. How sick is it that the every fan of every other team other than the Jazz could repeat the same exact posts from this thread. I recognize that the Jazz system works, I just hate how it works. I loved when Chris Webber layed Stockton out...sorta wish Shaq would play overly physical with Malone. I hate the Jazz!!!
Next to the Jazz on the list that I dislike, I think it has to be Jazz Fan. Those guys are true lemmings (sorta like Astros fan...on the march to death..errr..disappointment).
Hey...I like the Astros and will pull for them in the playoffs, I'm just not going to hold my breath for them! I started feeling this way towards the Rockets in the early 90's...sorta like they will never get over the hump. (of course this may be the Astros year, and I'll definitely say I supported them 100% all the way...hehe)
Jordan doesn't play close enough to the basket to be dunked on - but if he did, Francis could do it. After all, John Starks did it.
Starks dunked on Horace Grant , MJ was coming from behind , *Note : The Rockets are one of only two teams in the NBA to have a winning record against Michael Jordan
Hey man, sad to say, I kinda feel ya on that one. I still pull for 'em though. This just may be the year! (God, when will we ever learn? )
I hope it is better than Kevin Johnson dunking on Hakeem. I always hated that clip...Hakeem was clearly moving out of his way and not trying to challenge him. I'm a Rockets fan first...Hakeem fan second...let Steve have a highlight reel dunk that we can be proud of and brag to our grandchildren about.
