As well as the Rockets are doing, they deserve more national TV coverages. They got only 2 more for the remaining of the season, while the fakers have a whopping 17 left. Wonder if this would change. By the way, have you guys seen Yao's rookie wall? I mean, the one Reggie Miller bumpped into?
Maybe. I doubt the extra games will come at the expense of the Lakers though, no matter how bad they get. But other smaller market teams might suffer to the Rockets benefit. TNT certainly isn't above changing its schedule. Remember a couple years ago? Rockets were scheduled a lot, then when they stank... the tv appearances vanished.
I'm hoping so. I know they took games away from us last year due to Jordan's return and our horrendous season. Maybe seeing as Yao is the story of the year they can add some of our games, that's the only way I can watch.
I would be surprised if TNT/ESPN did not fit in more Rockets games. As said above, last year when the Rockets starting stinking they TOOK OFF games that were supposed to be televised. Ditto for the Wizard games when MJ was hurt. The last half of the season the schedule is pretty flexible and if the Rockets continue to play well, have a good record and Yao Ming continues to amaze then there is NO QUESTION they will add more Rockets games to the TV schedule. I think they are "scheduled" to have only 2 more games with both of them being in January. I suspect that after those games we will see some more scheduled games in Feb/March/April. Chris
