    Rockets notes: T-Mac criticizes Nowitzki's flagrant foul

    Rockets guard Tracy McGrady on Tuesday said Dirk Nowitzki's flagrant foul on Utah's Andrei Kirilenko on Monday should earn a suspension and keep him out of Thursday's game against the Rockets.

    "He should be (suspended)," McGrady said. "That was a pretty hard foul. Not only that, to slam a guy to the ground like that, it was a hard foul. It should have been a flagrant-2.

    "Yeah, I will (be broken-hearted)," McGrady said with a broad smile. "I will. I want them to be at full strength.

    "You see the smile, right?"

    Rockets coach Rick Adelman said he was not sure what penalty, if any, would come, though the league does consider whether a flagrant foul floored an opponent.

    "I don't know what their criteria is," Adelman said. "They said if you bring a guy down — he definitely flipped him down. I'm sure they'll review it. I don't think Dirk would intentionally hurt anybody, but I don't know what the league will do."

    If Dirk gets suspended, it would make a game agains the Mavs a much more winnable game.

    Anyone see the foul? Should he be suspended?

    yeah he makes no effort to avoid from pulling him down. If you look at it, while he doesn't grip him he keep his arm between his neck and shoulder so that he'll bring him down

    I agree, he should be suspended....Dirk did that deliberatly and that could injure someone....

    David Stern...SUSPEND him !!!

    I've watched the reply a few times and I guess it depends on how you interpret the motion where Dirk's arm clotheslines AK's neck.

    In think he needs to be suspended.........But hope he dont.....I want to beat the Mavericks with him to really shut everybody up.....and to start up some big time hype withy the rockets........They needm some light on them.......and nobody will give it to them..........Without dirk.....

    That alone would be worth the price of admission, but honestly the guy pulled AK47 down intentionally by the neck.......it deserves a suspension....

    In the old days if a player did that, someone would retaliate and undercut Dirk or flat out punch him.....

    Now players like him and Devin Harris and Bruce Bowen make dirty little plays and they go unpunished...

    I hope the league suspends him...he deserves it.

    MAN UP I hate how the league has gone so soft!... have you guys watched espn classic? I mean damn those were definitely some flagrant fouls going on each game but 99% of the time they just called it a foul.. I missed the 80's and early 90's type of play.. Hard nose, don't whine to your momma, if it ain't bleeding stop complaining type of play..

    EVERY league has gotten soft, not just the NBA. now if you breathe on the QB, it's a penalty.

    with endorsements and ratings nowadays, you want your best players out on the floor at all times.

    with that said, i do not want dirk to be suspended. i want to see his girly stone age face when we whup their arses.

    I want to have him suspended, whip their butts, and have them fall out of the playoffs all together.

    At least if he is suspended he won't do this crap again....like to ...oh say....Tmac.....
