Simple enough question. Through 10 games he has 1242 Rushing yards or 124/game. With 6 games remaining he needs to average just over 126 to get there. Will he do it?
He's as fast as anybody in the history of football, but he's also quick and elusive. Barry Sanders heir apparent.
It's possible but they do play the Chargers, Colts, Dolphins, and Cardinals, all with better run defenses than the Texans. And the cardinals are #8 currently.
He needs to average about 149 a game to break Dickerson's record. The Texans put 8 in the box and couldn't stop him. I like his chances.
The Cardinals give up 4.3 ypc which is worse then Jacksonville who gave up 228 yards to CJ, and way worse then the 49ers who gave up 135. There are only two reasons why CJ may not get there in my mind: Injury or Titans abandon the run like they did against the Colts earlier this season.
Titans will not abandon the run. Given their QB, they are now a run-first team. Barring injuries, CJ should make it.
