Much like Paul Pierce, will Butler's stock drop with the likes of Tskitishvili, Hilario and Stoudamire? Possible scenerio is that Ming, Williams, Woods, Gooden, Tskitishvili, Wilcox, Wagner, Hilario, Stoudamire and maybe even Borchardt/Marcus all get selceted before him. That would mean he'd drop to the 10th spot or Miami's pick. Hmmm....
It's possible that he might drop to 7 or 8 becuase some of the other players that you mentioned might be picked earlier, which isn't a bad thing at all if The Rockets end up with a 7th or 8th pick.
He might drop a bit...but based on the strength of his great tourney, I don't see him dropping TOO very far. Remember Bryce Drew?
My point being that there's a lot of talent there and somebody's going to drop to the 10th spot. If the Rockets could swap picks with Miami somehow, this team would have a ton of talent on it. My friend, who's a diehard Heat fan, would love to pick up Moochie if Riley can't trade up in the draft. Unlike most of the posters here, I like Moochie and most of the league does as well. Mooch would be a serious upgrade over Carter and House.
I have been calling for that KT and #15 to Miami and Pheonix for some time. But the cap gods seem to think it cannot work. I am open to moving Moochie too. By the way Damon Jones and Tierre Brown are proving that CD and co. should not have paid Moochie that kind on money.
I've been trying to forget. I think Butler's status depends on the Euros. I think he's a good prospect, but that Tschvilifa;lkd (sp?) kid is supposed to be the next Nowitzki. Can't pass that up.
