Hes been doing very well lately, but Im wondering if Adelman will let him play in the playoffs, If he would let Landry play why not Brooks? Brooks has at least took his team pretty far in his senior season during March Madness, that would help a little with playoff experience.

I think he will be in playoff rotation. His playtime might depend on who the rockets will play.

We know Francis and Yao will be on IR. So the third guy will be Loren Woods and Mike Harris rotating more Loren Woods though depending on who we play.

That's a good question. Right now I'd say no but it depend on Rafer's form.

If Rafer plays like he did last year, Adelman will need to try Brooks. Of course he is young he's got no expierence but he is quick he learns very qiuckly and he understands the game. I belive we can use him but as I said - probably onli if Rafer struggles.

I vote yes, 8-12 minutes, especially if he stays hot the last 4 games of the season. Keep BJ at SG. Wow we can still get #1 seed!

A lot will depend on Rafer and who the Rockets are playing. I thought Brooks did an excellant job of playing defense against Nash and that was a big key in last night's win. His quickness can be a huge access when the Rockets have trouble penetrating the opponent's interior defense. As much as I like Mike Harris, Loren Woods may be on the playoff roster. We don't have much size at the post and we have to remember Deke is 41 years old. With Landry back to 100%, Harris hasn't played very much.

More than likely it will be Mike Harris on the IR.

I hope so, he is a very nice change of pace for our team, one that is very difficult to game plan against.

If sam cassell can play in the playoffs as a rookie, I don't see why brooks can't.

I wouldnt be surprised to see 9 or 10 men in the play-off rotation. Adelman seems to be very comfortable with Brooks and Novak. Novak looks like he is getting a bit more comfortable rebounding and doing things other than shooting.

Oh, and Novak coming off a pick anywhere on the floor = money.

I think he should play. Most people were worried about his defense, and while against B. Davis or D. Will he would still have problems, he played great defense against S. Nash (as did B-Jax and Skip). If he can do that, then put him in there, and depending on how is hot in each game, give them more minutes.

This team is reminding my of the old rockets teams with Thorpe, Horry, Herrera and bullard at Forward and Maxwell, Horry, Elie, Cassell, Scott Brooks, and Kenny Smith at Guards that would rotate so many contributing players in and out and play to the hot hand.

I think people forget Rafer's defense on Williams last year. Williams had a solid first round, but nothing to write home about. I think Brooks can see some good minutes while Williams isnt out there, and if he gets abused too much when DWill comes back in, just put Rafer in again. If Utah is using DWill to keep Brooks off the floor, then he isnt resting and will wear down.

obviously it depends on who we're playing. i brooks might get 2-3 minutes in the 2nd quarter to gauge if he can handle it but 9 times out of 10 he'll get abused out there. rafer is a much better defender AND rebounder than brooks. he also can get in the lane without getting the ball swiped at. brooks is still a rookie and his rookie mistakes will become even more apparent in the playoffs.
