will braggs start today!!!! i have no idea who braggs is however reading some of the other posts most of u like him. And since i get most of my info from my fellow clutchies i have faith u guys would be the harshest critics. Also was wondering if he would start today cause the rest of the scrubs at pf stand no chance against elite teams in the west and now in the east.
i seriously doubt it. He is an ok player who works very hard. But i do not see him as a starter. I think he will get 8 minuten tops tonight. When a player is just aquired(trade or otherwise) they mostly do not get to play that much becasue they do not know the team, and system.
Braggs is flying here from Russia.He wont be with the team until the Tuesday Heat game at the earliest. And Braggs is not going to be starting any games. Unless Spoon gets hurt expect him to start the remaining games for the Rockets in the regular season. We might see some action from Braggs later on in the week, perhaps in the Friday New Orleans matchup.
Not that it really matters, but the Chronicle says that he was flying from Russia to Minneapolis yesterday. He won't be able to play until the Heat game at the earliest, however.
I humbly, yet vehemently, dissagree. Braggs will be the best PF we have on the roster by this time next week. I dare to say again that even compared to Juwan, it is a wash. If the Braggs we will get on Tuesday is the same person that was with this team sometime last season, I expect him to snatch away the starting sport away the hapless Spoon. He will fit in nicely in the starting spot and do almost what Udonis Haslem does for the Heat. Yes, Braggs will surely start in his second or 3rd game. That is my calculated guess/opinion.
I disagree on the Juwan comparism. We shall see later this week. I hope you were joking when you said he is about Spoon's equal?
I sure hope you are right. Even though we havnt lost the past two games b/c of our PFs, it would still be nice to find someone who can play a little better defense and rebound a little better than Spoon and Padgett.
After watching the Wolves game, let me say again, Braggs probably wont start, but I bet we see decent minutes from him from here on out. We are struggling at the PF spot in terms of quickness, energy and rebounding and I dont think JVG will hesitate to put ANYONE in there to do the job. The fact JVG actually put Deke in there WITH Yao last night tells you he is really REACHING at this point at the PF spot. I think it is entirely possible that Braggs has at least A shot at being a starter in the next few weeks, or playing starters minutes. I am not saying it is going to happen, but he has a chance. The Deke/Yao experiment cements it for me.
