Umm i don't think it will be necessary, his feelings have been made known. plus he deserves to start somewhere and we could use some extra pieces, so i think its for the best.

No way Omer is back, he is likely to be a key piece in any move we make. We certainly have to have an upgrade at the 4 lined up before we can move him though.

NBA GM's know his value, they just thought they could get him on the cheap last season. If he were on the open market he would command 10-12 million, so that 15 million he is due really isn't that bad if you need an anchor in the paint. Plus it grants you those oh so important bird rights.

Many of the missed put backs were shoves and hits on Omer. I just don't know why the league officiates this way. Do they want a fanfare of contempt?

Dwight has proven he is the go to guy in crunch time. We don't need Asik. He was a nice luxury piece to have while it lasted.

    Are you kidding?

Omer is going to be so p***** if he doesn't get traded.

Playing for McHale under this cr**py system is wasting his best years.

I just hope we can get a decent return.

Our best bet would've been Parsons, Asik, Lin for Melo but not sure if Melo would want to come here and play for this team.

His great play during the playoffs was basically an audition for his new team, showing them that he still has it.

There's so few legit big men that he's not going to want to play 2nd fiddle to anyone.

Probably, but Morey will have some strict guidelines for any deal involving Asik. He won't take back salary that extends beyond 2015. He won't give up a bunch of picks to move him. And he probably won't hand him to a Western Conference rival.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Asik play out his contract here. And next year, he can't be "injured" for 2 months because he's gonna be playing for a new deal.

He can't can he? He would look really stupid asking for a trade to play more minutes when he couldn't even give us the minutes we asked from him during the Portland series. The guy has no motor. The fitness of a mule. This role is perfect for him.

Can't believe I see some people on here bashing him...he played his butt off for us during the series, especially after Dwight got into early foul trouble after committing some dumb fouls. The only knock I have on him is his ability to finish and protect the ball around the rim on the offensive end.

Didn't Morey said there probably won't be any big trade this offseason including Lin or Asik?

Morey says a lot of things that are true, including "McHale is a good coach"

He's gone, and I expect to be underwhelmed at what we get in return.
