Usually Records are meant to be broken and almost all records do, but can any of the steroid era records be broken? Will anyone ever hit 70 or even 60 homeruns again?

It seemed like 50 homeruns were nothing and now you rarely see anyone do it.

Now that they have HGH testing, I think until the next super drug comes out I don't think any records are getting broken.

Jose Bautista is the only guy to hit 50 in the last 5 seasons. Eventually there will be a Babe Ruth like talent that works harder, and feasts on these smaller parks.

I think the single season homerun record is going to last a very a long time. Probably not in my lifetime and I'm 29. 73 is ridiculous...

The unfortunate thing is if anybody approaches it people will assume hes roidng.

I do think the career home-run mark will be broken. It will be some kid that comes up very early and avoids injuries like how Ken Griffey could have done.

Obviously it's wayyyyyy to early but Bryce Harper has the talent.

All of the 40 HR & 40 SB seasons occurred during the Steroid Era, and three out of the four player to accomplish it (Soriano's the other one) ended up being confessed juicers, though Bonds and A-Rod were probably clean when they did it. Eventually someone's going to go 50/50.

But I don't see any of the major records falling without some kind of significant change to how the game is played, or a longer regular season.
