Maybe third times the charm ?
    We've tried the
    Francis/Yao and failed
    Next we tried the
    Mcgrady/Yao and failed
    Finally we are attempting the
    Martin/Yao Combo

I'd hope after our 0/2 attempts this one could possibly work.

It seems odd that the Rockets management keeps attempting to follow a formula that has failed for them almost every year, injuries or not.Obviously Morey is not clueless, but if this combo fizzles i'm sure the drawing board will be pulled out.

Could this combo actually be the one that works ?

The Artest/Yao combo worked to beat Portland.

I think it depends on who else is on the roster. If Yao and Tracy didn't work, I certainly doubt Martin and Yao will be enough. Mac IMHO is far more gifted than Martin. But like I said, if a solid free agent is added with those two...then possibly.

I hope but doubt so, both are injury prone, which makes the chance of working slim.

If by "work" you mean win a championship the answer can only be "maybe". Can't say a definite no, but the chances are not above 50% for certain, especially compared to other teams. I wouldn't consider other achievements as having a combo that "worked".

    Yao/Martin isn't the plan.

    It is Yao/Martin/PF TBD

Franchise/Yao: Steve wouldn't pass to Yao

Tmac/Yao: Tracy wouldn't work as hard as Yao

Artest/Tracy/Yao: See above, Tracy didn't like Artest because Artest called him out for loafing

Martin/Yao: Martin is a hard worker mild-mannered and a good shooter.. It should be able to work..

It's not a combo this time. It's balanced from the 1 to the 5.

You also have to look at the systems they are put in

    JVG

    - Francis and Yao did not work. It seemed Francis was not a slow the game down PG but Yao is a slow the game down center

    - T-Mac and Yao under JVG did work. I really still believe to this day that that playoff series vs. Dallas was rigged. Our assumptions would all be different now.

    Rick Adelman

    - T-mac and Yao did not work because T-Mac did not fit into Adelmans system but Ron Artest did. Thats why we were successful against Portland and if we were healthy I still think to this day we could have beaten LA and who knows what.

    - Kevin Martin and Yao will work because both players fit the SYSTEM. But this is just based on assumption but i have faith Morey knows what the hell he is doing.

Yao and Martin will be healthy next season. Book it.

After our off season moves, we'll be a kickass team next year.

    Yes.

Yao an Martin will always have someone to defer to whether it be Scola, Brooks, Ariza or each other. They are not ball hogs. Neither of them demand more than 15 shots per game unless they are feeling it.

It has serious potential, especially if Morey can add a major piece in this offseason or next deadline.

There are huge question marks at this point. What will Yao look like when he returns? Does Martin still have his shooting touch?

The big question is can yao play a full season and the playoffs? What moves will Morey make in the offseason?

If he goes back to trading Scola and Shane for Amare, then we are doomed with 3 injury prone players and will never win the ring. If he can score a s&t for somebody else, maybe there is a chance.

You need to put your memory cap on and remember the truth not just what the Rockets Management wants to hear!

That chance of them both playing 60 plus games in the same season is a very low probability. I am so tired of glass superstars.
