Ok...so I do a google search on something rap related (actually I don't even remember what I was looking up) and I got directed to wikipedia, That was like 2 hours ago!! Every new page I see has a link to another page, which has a link to another one, and so on. Yet I can't stop reading. How much of a nerd am I?

Anyone else share my pain in regards to this site? :(

    I know what you mean.

I start out trying to find some info on a band and all the sudden this Caravaggio is such a brilliant example of avant-garde and clearly the pinnacle of the Baroque age.

You can actually learn quite a bit from the site, but it is tough to know if all the info is correct always.

lol it's funny how teachers don't like wikipedia.

who gives a damn, i'm taking the time to type up your research paper, who cares if the information is right or wrong.

I love wikipedia. Anytime I want to look up anything (pop culture references, tv/movie info, history, literature etc.), I'll google up "Subject Wikipedia". I'll do that as much as a dozen times a day. It's sooooo much better than a regular web search, since it goes straight to the specific information. Maybe not everything is 100% accurate, but it's very good at giving you the basics, and in most cases a bit more in-depth than that, on pretty much any subject you can think of.

I typed Kam into Wikipedia. This is what I got.

    Kam
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

KAM (Sanskrit kama) meaning deep desire, uncontrolled longing, concupiscence, sensuality or lasciviousness is counted among the five cardinal sins or sinful propensities.

    -now check yourself, son.

If you have firefox I love that you can just go type "wp <subject>" in the address bar and it goes directly to the wiki article. Same with "slang <word>" and gets you the urbandictionary definition, good stuff.
