Anyone know where to get a Wii online or an offline place that typically has inventory for that type of thing. Went by Sam's Club today and they were out, out, out.
I think the general rule for game systems, especially a popular one like Wii, is buying in advance. Since you have failed at doing that, check with stores daily on their shipments, ask when they usually get their shipments in, get in good with a few workers at Walmart, Best Buy, K-Mart, etc. to get some inside tips. Of course, that is going on the theory that Wii systems will be in short supply this year which I hear will be the case. Good luck.
Try your local bestbuy. I saw Wii's stacked in a huge pile at 2 bestbuys here earlier in November. Just like how they have to stack their overabundance of PS3s all year long. giddy doesn't live in Houston btw.
Very good deal for availability is: Goto live.com search for wii In the advertising section, there's a link to ebay for 30% off Click on the link Search for wii in ebay for the best bundle and a reputable dealer. Buy it now and use paypal. You get your 30% cashback 60 days later.
I was over at fry's on 59S this saturday and they had a whole bunch. There was even a guy announcing they had alot in stock. Try calling them. Goodluck though, I had to buy my wii last year online through circuit city. If it fails...well, I'm sht out of luck.
If you don't have a Wii by now, you're not trying at all. I've seen them in stock almost every where I went the past two months.
Gamestop at the Galleria had some a couple days ago, and my buddy at Fry's near Beltway 8 and 59S tells me they have tons of them all the time.
This is definitely a GREAT idea. Who knows, you may be able to score a Wii bundle for the same price as just getting the system.
Got one today; should be here on the 5th of December. In NC, they have no Wiis at Sam's Club, Costco, or Best Buy. Got a bundle for $328 with shipping and a 30% rebate. Thanks for the idea. Now I just need the Wii Fit for Mrs. Giddyup. She says she wants one.
So you really got the bundle for about $228, right? Do the same thing with the Wii Fit. Buy it on eBay and get the rebate. You can do it on up to 12 items or $2500 in rebates, which ever comes first.
Yeah it was $249 plus tax at Best Buy but none were in stock and they do not reserve-purchase. It's a half-hour over there to meet inventory trucks twice a week and I have better things to do. Gotta love the net.
You're welcome, Giddy. It's down to 20% now, but the rate has been changing from time to time. That Microsoft cashback trick works for ~12 uses for each paypal account, but the thing is, most sellers are getting savvy about it, so they're raising the prices and eating most of the savings.
Just in case anyone was looking amazon has wii's in stock http://www.amazon.com/Wii-nintendo/..._1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1229278216&sr=8-1
