I know this has nothing to do with the topic, but why do foreign players have to enter the draft? Why can't we just go to valencia and buy them..I mean sign them?

These Spanish papers remind me of the Chinese media, don't believe anything that they say.

That's why he has that parenthetical about RealGM doing the translation. Probably, he should have linked the Spanish source too, but that link won't be much good to most of us.

Ricky putting the full court press on everybody. I like it. The articles make Minnesota sound frazzled and defensive.

    Take advantage Morey.

I'm not much liking Rubio because of all the fuss, but it'll be disappointing if Minn can't bring him over all the same.

The funniest part of all this will be if Rubio does end up over here at some point and completely fails to live up to the hype.

I'm not a scout or anything, just a avid basketball watcher, but I've yet to see a 6'4 pg with slow feet that cant shoot be effective. Not to mention being 6'4 without a post game to boot. People will say look at Kidd, but Kidd was and is strong as a bull, with quick feet, very athletic and has a post game. It isnt even close and people will see it when or if he ever gets here.

I'm not going to get into an argument over hypotheticals, but just as some food for thought, what about Stockton?

He wasn't even close to 6'4", he was never particularly fast or otherwise athletic (although he had great anticipation...like Rubio), and he couldn't hit a 3 pointer to save his life until his 4th season in the NBA. Seems like at least a decent comparison to Rubio coming in, and he is of course a hall of famer.
