Why doesn't Eddie put the ball on the floor and drive to the basket? There have been so many oportunities where he has a clear lane but opts for the outside shot almost everytime. His lack of aggressive play is driving me nuts!

He is starting to do that. He has definitely improved from last year in this aspect. I think we need to be patient. Myself included!

Hakeem couldn't drive, but then he learned. It was ugly, but it worked pretty well. I'm with cmiller, he should learn.

I was at the game and I couldn't help but think the exact opposite. Why wasn't Eddie taking those wide open mid range jumpers instead of trying to dive into the lane and ultimately turn the ball over. I swear, there were like 4 instances I remember where Francis gave Griff the ball and all he had to do was shoot it, but he put the ball on the floor and got TO or gave the ball up to somebody who was double teamed immediately.

He isn't comfortable with hitting mid range jumpers and can only hit shots from 3 point range.

But Eddie is pretty quick. Don't you think he should take advantage of that and drive the lane more? I just hate the idea of our alledged 'power forward' not playing around the basket. I think if he did more of that we would at least see him at the foul line once in a while. I have to say I like his improvement over last season and I know he's young but I just wish he wasn't so timid. I honestly think that if Eddie became a more aggressive player, we would be a really good team. For crying out loud, if he can get up and block shots, why can't he get up and dunk on someone?????????? And another thought....I think Posey needs to start.

Hmm...because he doesn't have any confidence. He is hesitant to shoot anything. He's never sure if he should shoot. Man! I wish he could do better. Yesterday he just couldn't shoot straight. I hope somebody is helping him with offense. We need a power forward who can block shots and get rebounds like Eddie Griffin and can also shoot 3's but can also drive to the basket and post up like Maurice Taylor. Both of them at the same time? Eddie was just terrible yesterday. He now has the off the dribble shot though.
