I normally don't wear a seatbelt. Seatbelts make people drive more reckless, thus I am not a fan of that legislation which makes you wear one. Only when I see a cop, do I buckle up.

The video was cool. If he was in the X Games he would get a 9 out of a possible 10 stars for mad vert.

If you don't wear your seatbelt the homosexuals might grab you out of your car instead of jumping on it next time...

In this day and age, there is no reason why someone shouldn't wear a seatbelt. I can never sympathize with those don't because it's just dumb.

I don't mean to seem mean or heartless but these people have it coming to them. I don't sympathize at all.

It seems like these people do these dangerous stunts for fun. My best friend is from there and he says that they love to drift or do stupid stunts (although cool when they mess up) like these to pass the time.

The sad thing is I doubt this video will change anyone's habit. There are countless accidents from these things and people seem to just want to do it more. I guess just like here. Oh well.

Let's hope they have life insurance.

By all means, don't wear your seatbelt. That way, you'll die in a car accident and the population will get just a little bit smarter. A little chlorine for the ol' gene pool.

To summarize: Seatbelts basically give a false sense of security.

In addition to this, mandatory seat belt laws are just a money grab by the police and local governments. It is just further interference with the freedoms of people. Those supporting seat belt laws are rooting for our civil liberties to continue eroding.

Next the government will mandate that people have alarm systems in their houses and carry personal weapons to protect them from burglars. Its the same logic they use with seatbelt laws. Why should the government try to protect me from my own actions? We don't outlaw twinkie sales, so why do we outlaw non seatbelt wearing?

So people drive more recklessly with a seatbelt on and you want to be the one without a seatbelt on while these people are driving recklessly?

Or, you *could* wear a seatbelt and NOT drive recklessly, and in the meantime, protect yourself from everyone else who you think is driving recklessly. Do you somehow think that not wearing a seatbelt is going to make it less likely reckless drivers run into you?

That is a good point. I was merely saying that I don't wear a seatbelt out of habit. But my main point was regarding the seat belt legislation that requires one to wear one and fines you if you don't. The basis of seat belt legislation is flawed in my opinion due to the examples I stated above of people driving more recklessly, seat belts providing a false sense of security and due to the underlying money factor for local police and city governments.

My thoughts exactly. While you're driving carefully without a seatbelt, some reckless f*cker who IS wearing one is going to T-bone you and put you in a coma.

i think his point is it probably is safer to wear one in most cases. but you should not have to if you dont want to.

yeah, seatbelts --> drive faster --> more pedestrian accidents.

it's still best to wear one.
