I hate to read into things like this, but it's been bugging me nonstop. Everyone knows that LMA wants to play next to a top center and we have (arguably) the best center in the league. The Suns even went out and signed Tyson Chandler preemptively to sway Aldridge. Yet here come the Rockets contingent without one of their biggest superstars and assets in the recruiting front. I'm not saying that this would change his decision, but it needs to be answered why our FO let this happen.

You don't have to have every good player on your team come to the meeting. Harden is the face of the franchise and he was there; that is enough if u ask me.
I'm sure Aldridge knows Dwight is on the Rockets. I don't think his presence would have swayed LMA one way or the other. Talking about how he rode the bench in the Finals?
I agree with shasta. First fo all in the first reports it said that dwight would be there while harden wouldnt. Tony Parker flew from china to go flirt with lma . Harden was also away in vacation and had to take a long flight. And suddendly dwight who should be our MAIN PITCH all of a sudden isnt there? Is bogut popular and beloved in australia or he comes there too as an arrogant *******?
If you really want to surprise Aldridge, bring DMo along. He'll tell LA that he'll have to try to catch him. The last time DMo said that to a top center, dude joined the team.
both LMA and Kobe share the same opinion on DH, DH was w the Lakers for 2 yrs, played against LMA's team for >20 times. LMA lives in LA suburb during the off season, keeping abreast of the sports news. so, he knows about some of the chicken bleep that DH does off the court as well Kudos to Rox, in not including DH in the meeting, for doing sufficient prep work on LMA
I would still trade D12 str8 up for D12. We have a center who's not improving in 2 of the most important areas (Post scoring and free throws). Once his athleticism declines he's done!
Do you have any source on this? Or is just speculation? Because that would mean that dwight instead of being a big advnatage is actually a drawback in attracting dwight and reason why he finds chandler better. But i think you are just wildly speculating. lmao :grin:
Wasn't Bledsoe present at the Suns meeting lol? If LMA goes there the Bledsoe needs to get traded in order to do the signing.
So the best excuses are that he was on vacation or he is a liability on the recruiting front. What... Tinfoil hat: Seems to me that Morey knew going in how Dwight felt about this and decided to do his due diligence anyway. It isn't like it's a big secret when the recruiting period starts. If he wanted to be there, he would have been there.
