Because of the world series game that Boston is going to blow the Rockies out of the ballpark? BTW, the Arsenal vs Liverpool match drew far more people to watch in England. I am pretty sure the British who watched that game are the ones that sat in Wembley.
NFL just isn't a worldwide game, most players are American and I don't see football reaching even close to baseball(mainly latin) and basketball status around the world.
i doubt it's because the NFL is scared of getting blown out in the ratings. last sunday's ratings: FOX MLB ALCS GAME 11.7 rating with 19.1 million viewers. NBC SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL 8.3 rating with 13.2 million viewers. i wouldn't call that a blowout. also take in to account the NFL game featured the steelers and broncos. not exactly a high drawing crowd. the week before, when the cowboys played the bills, (while not going head to head vs baseball) game 4 of the ALCS was played. NFL REGULAR SEASON L (COWBOYS/BILLS) 8.5 rating and 13 million viewers MLB DIVISION SERIES (INDIANS-YANKEES 4) 5.9 rating and 9.2 milllion of course sunday night games were on fox and nbc while the monday games were on espn and tbs. could the fact that they were on cable have something to do with it? oh and the cowboys vs pats had 29.1 million viewers. http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve_main/1,1002,272|||cable,00.html http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve_main/1,1002,272|||weekly,00.html
Utterly fantastic game, shame that Fabregas' last shot pinged off the post Also, there is football tonight - Central Florida vs. Southern Miss on ESPN!
What a game. I felt bad, because I am a reds'fan. But, Arsenal is more technical. What they need is to be more clinical when attacking, otherwise I am take them to win it all this year.
