Quite simple: no pressure. Anything beyond this win is a bonus considering losing Mario and Shaub

The crazy thing is we are just 2 wins from the SuperBowl.

We will be the underdog...No reason not to play even more aggressive. When there is no expectation or pressure, the Texans might just have a shot to get to the big dance . . Either way, so so so happy and proud of the team!

i think they had A TON of pressure at home today....hell,i felt it and im not even a player....it would have been a huge let down for houston if they lost....now they can go out there and just play. Hopefully that means a better start. Theyre going to need it.

Winning this game today gave us so much momentum heading into Baltimore next weekend.

2 wins away from the superbowl. Look further than that.

3 wins away from the championship.

I say they have a chance at competing for the AFC championship because the teams in our bracket all play throwback football, none of that throw for 500 yards crap. Even the steelers, with more than capable ammo, would rather play a grind it out game than get involved in a shootout. Obviously, I'm excluding the patriots. Wish we could exchange the pats for the 49ers so the NFC can be the new AFL.

    Go Texans

I'm kind of nervous for the Texans and I'm not even an NFL fan!

LOL, man you guys are serious homers. I love the hell out of this team but I'm not so blinded by it that I can't see that other teams are great too. Baltimore are absolute BEASTS at their place. They killed us even with Schaub...yeah yeah yeah we didn't have Dre...but cmon guys...there is a reason the bengals were so horrible vs. playoff teams this year...that isn't the case with baltimore. Lets enjoy this win and quit downplaying the quality of opponents we're about to play next week.

Not downplaying any team, I did say to do anything more is a bonus ...The fact is we have a chance and not having the pressure is something I feel will help the team's performance.

If there's anyone that knows about intelligent posts around here, it's definitely you.

Stop being dicks. Fans are excited. Nobody is saying that Baltimore sucks or that we can stamp our tickets to Indy. Enjoy the ride and stop looking for reasons to piss in people's Cheerios.

I've been to nearly every team's forum and none of them are as homers as clutchfans. It seems like everyone here are blind. Its getting pretty annoying. This forum is being run by college kids. Arrogant college kids too.

What's wrong with being a homer?
Why the hell would I think my team has NO CHANCE

Seriously . . . Baltimore is not an offensive juggernaut
Their defense is good but not infallable.

We could win this game 3-0
    I'd take it!

Just checked out that forum, texanstalk. They're saying the same things we're saying here. in fact, there are some people with the same monikers.

Enjoy the games and always be humble in victory or defeat.

I don't know about you. But I'd rather have a ton of pressure with Mario and more importantly Schaub than a pressure-less Yates team. Pressure's overrated. Talent is not.

That said, the Texans do have a shot. Basically they need to be able to move the ball at least a bit on the Ravens D. And they need Joe Flacco to have one of his brainfart games. Something he's more than capable of doing. The Texans also can beat the Steelers at home, especially given Pittsburg's potential injury issues. There's no way I see us beating the Patriots though. Not unless Yates has the game of his life.

Rockets fans are allowed to have blind faith. We learned about it in '95. If God had been the opponents in the Finals that year, then we would have cut Him. Not even to speak of Michael F'in Jordan.

This city is allowed to believe in destiny because it happened once before. Who are you to say it might not happen again?
