Just looking at the options The Rockets have to get Amare' Stoudemire, it's pretty much impossible to do it without McGrady. Sure, you can play around with contracts, but Phoenix would have to be incredibly stupid to give up Stoudemire for Artest and Battier + fillers. They certainly would be idiots if they gave him up for weak front court players like Scola and Landry.

If they offered up Stoudemire and Barbosa for McGrady, most fans would snatch that trade up in a heartbeat. And then...

The Rockets would NEVER, EVER have a chance at a championship, at least not for the next 7-8 years. Houston does that deal, and Phoenix sheds over $55 Million by 2010 (McGrady, O'Neal, Nash). There is no way they don't get Lebron James in 2010. Phoenix is the hottest spot for Free Agents. How much money could Lebron James make for The Suns? The city of Phoenix? Every game would sellout. The possibilities are endless:

Steve Nash, Lebron James, and Chris Bosh

Steve Nash, Dwyane Wade, Lebron James

Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, and LaMarcus Aldridge

Steve Nash, Michael Redd, Lebron James

The Rockets won't win anything the next several years regardless if they sit on their what they have now. As players become more selfish, chemistry is becoming more important than ever. 2010 offers nobody that will put us any further than what we have now.

Actually, no the suns trade for TMAC, their fans will already be pissed because they'll be trying to save money and probably ruin any chances of a deep playoff run, to acquire a player that's breaking down like Tmac would anger everyone in phoenix. Scola and Landry would make fans happier than Tmac, guarantee that. Don't forget they don't need anymore scorers, they have J rich, and Nash, Oneal, and Hill are consistent scoring threats, whiel Barbosa is always a threat to blow up. Landry and Scola would be a nice compliment to that roster.

It depends on the rocket management,
Is concerned about the sale of tickets or the team's accomplishments
If concerned about the tickets, T-mac will leave, and may have more transactions to Dude

Aww not another attention hog, first no one said Tmac was going to Phoenix and secondly there is no proof that we are going to trade for Stoudamire so why don't you save this thread until we do trade Tmac for Stoudamire

Rockets would be crazy to trade both artest and shane

plus.. the suns want enquirers. so moving artest + head + scola would be reasonable for the suns

Francis rocket to send it away in exchange for Tracy McGrady, the result is the same, I hope that the results of saying good-bye to Tracy McGrady should not be repeated

Bah I spent more than 5 minutes trying to translate that into english. I'm just glad that it's an obvious "second language" problem instead of the typical failure of American public education system.  :D
