Tim Redding has just given up 3 homers to Sammy Sosa, and its only 6th inning.

What i want to know is why do you pitch to someone like that when you know hes hit off of you already?

Astros down 5-4. St.Louis lost today. Houston cant lose this game.

Don't ask me. Just went and checked my fantasy team and noticed Sosa had 3 HR's and was like WTF. At least when I turned on the game we were only down one, well until he gave up another HR to mcgriff.

Only reason I can think of is cause he does strike out a lot.

I wish Astacio and Hernandez didnt get injured. The pitching for Houston was in my mind the best when they had those 2 healthy.

    Oswalt
    Miller
    Astacio
    Reynolds
    Hernandez

    Now its.

Oswalt - Out for his next start
    Miller
    Reynolds
    Milicki
    Villone
    Redding?

I dont like Villone or Redding. Milicki i didnt like but hes starting to show some stuff lately.

If Dierker would tell the pitchers to walk Hitters like Sosa, Bonds.. Then Astros would have at least 5-10 more wins then they have now.

You pitch to Sosa because he's more one-dimensional than Barry Bonds.

Talk about someone owning a pitcher.

Let's look at Sammy's stats: .319 avg, 146 RBI, 107 walks, 32 doubles, 5 triples. If you mean he can't play defense then he's one dimensional, but as a hitter he pretty much does it all (including strike out a lot).

With the addition of McGriff hitting behind him, it might make sense to pitch to Sosa, but you figure by the third at bat, Redding wouldn't give him something to hit.

I guess I like it that our guys go after the tough hitters. That shows mental toughness which these guys will need in the postseason.
