From what I understand, playoff games are more physical and more of half-court style. But why do teams shorten their rotation? I heard Bill and Matt on TV51 last night that JVG will go to a 7-man rotation. Could the experts help me out here?

I'm not an expert, but I think part of the reason is that you go with your best players during the playoffs.

In the normal season if you play your best players all the time they are tired after a coule of months and they wil get injured. And not every game is importent. In the play-offs every game is importent, so you play the best you have all the games.

If this is true, who will be on the Rockets' 7-man rotation?
    Steve Francis
    Cuttino Mobley
    Yao Ming
    Kevin Cato
    Jim Jackson
    Mo Taylor
    Mark Jackson? or Spoon?

i doubt the rockets will use a 7 player rotation, Van gundy mostly uses a 8man rotation. but i do think the eights man will play verry few minutes. i think weatherspoon will get minutes because we need people to foul shaq:D
