Hi guys, I rarely post because my written english is not very good but I always try hard humbly to give my 2 grain and I think this question deserve to have it own thread (Mod delete if necessary). I'm not a Steve only fan, how some poster would call it, I Love Houston(Astros & Rockets) and I'm all for the good of the team. I don't know of you guys, but everytime that the topic is about Stevi you'll find some Steve haters, like these 2. I just want to know, why so much hate? You forgot all the things, emotions, and heart this guy gave and sacrifice for us? You forgot the 7 and 7 (Rb, assist)this guy averaged for us every night?(How many players had those numbers these days?). The year this guy went down with headache this team wasn't capable of win a game, and his last year here he accepted and helped Yao as the first option of the team. You forgot when this guy hit Amare Stoudamire(And why he did it?) This is the same guy that never would gave up(Unlike Tmac(Dont take offense, I love Tmac)) Some of you'll came out with the Superbowl issue, or with the 4 or 5 turnover per night, but you know what? he has the right to feel the way he feel when one of the worst pg in the leage is playing over him. I bet that Steve had better offers before signing with us, just think about it. You steve haters always will find bad things to say about Steve, But why so much hate? Because he didn't wanted to leave the team in the Tmac trade? Well, I guess he committed some errors and then the guy is the worst man in the world.
It's easy to average good numbers on a bad team. Steve took us no where as the leader of the Rockets. I'm okay with him being back, but honestly he is not that great. James Bonzi, Head and even Rafer have more value to this team.
Don't be a prick. The guy (girl?) stated in the opening of the thread that his (her?) written English is not very good. Clearly not a native speaker. I swear, the internet brings out the worst in people
That's not fair. He's gotten us as far as Yao and McGrady have - First round exit. I think given enough time Francis will have an important role on this team and rafer will be gone.
I think we should pull a Celtic Pride and kidnap Rafer so he can't play. This would not hurt our team though, it would help because Steve could play and Rafer couldn't throw anymore stupid passes or brick shots. I've already got Dan Akroyd on board. Hilarity is sure to ensue! C'mon Clutch fans, lets do it!
There is so much hate on Stevie because the Houston fans needs something negative to complain about. People just aren't satisfied that everything so far is going so well so they have to complain about something. You just have to get use to it. Lots of Houston fans thrive on being negative.
I dont think there are many Stevie hater around. You should have seen many post asking put Stevie in the rotation. Of coz Stevie is an experienced player and could make some damage to our opponents but I would rather believe he is not in good shape yet.
yeah i agree with the poster. people are hating on steve francis before he even got a chance. he isn't a rookie, he is a veteran and for those of you who think he hasn't proven himself are completley wrong. how has he not proven himself? and i'm not just sayin this because rafer hasn't been playing good, but steve deserves a chance... and if he sucks when he gets the chance.. then, though i still wouldn't agree, alll of you bad sports who say to trade him and cut him have reason to say so
I was actually referencing that i've never heard of him because I haven't seen him play in a regular season game in the past 3 years yet. I swear, people always assume the worst in the internet.
I don't think there is hate for SF but unrealistic SF fans living way back in the past. I remember Steve fans were complaining when we traded TMac for him. I wonder if SF fans are still thinking that trade was a mistake.
I to believe SF3 will get it going. He must keep doing what RA wants him to do and get his body into shape.
Well, I see more posts asking when is Steve going to start and why isn't he in the rotation yet more than anything. To me, we just really like Steve here in Houston and we are hoping he will get playing time eventually. However, he should not get playing time to the detriment of the team. Meaning, when it is obvious he should play instead of someone else, then he should play. Not just because he is Steve Francis. The next thing, when Steve does actually get in the game, he must play a team game. He can't just dribble it as much as he wants while not going anywhere like he used to. That is not our offense and it seems to stagnate the team. Amazing plays do result at times, but I would rather the offense look fluid while he is in the game than have the occasional amazing play. Those are just my thoughts on the Francis situation.
