Why Rockets have not secured a playoff spot already?

    Remove if this is a repost already.


    I cannot figure it out for the life of me. On the contrary, Utah and Portland did already with fewer wins. SUns cannot overtake us even winning all the rest of games.

    Is there any rule against ROCKETS?


    I just want to know the technicality of how to put a team on the playoff lock.

    The Rockets were in fact the third team in the West to officially secure their spot (LA then SAS). Don't ever trust ESPN for sports, they are more geared for drama. I've noticed Yahoo! Sports statswise is usually the fastest to update and almost always accurate, at least statistically speaking...

    It's probably just an editing omission. Like famicon said earlier, all the current playoff teams are locked except Dallas although they need 1 win to get it.

    But you have to realize, ESPN is made up of functional r****ds. We're 7 games up on Phoenix with 5 games left. We're in. Don't worry about it.

    Evidently ESPN spends too much time on pretty graphics and modules so the page will load slow. It's really the last place to look for stats.

    alright, I am hoping this is the last post of this thread.

    As HayesFan pointed out, this has been discussed somewhere previously.
    My sole purpose is to find out if there is anything i am not aware of.

    It turned out ESPN is slow in updating. Or is it?

    It kind of validate my take on ESPN bias towards Rockets.

    Yes because ESPN is so biased against the Rockets that they would intentionally lie about the Rockets clinching the Playoff spot when everyone knows that they already have. And ESPN picked the Rockets to advance pass the 2nd round this year, and they also picked us over the Jazz in 2007.
