So almost every single Twitter head is not happy, or at least thrilled about the prospect of Brooks on the Rockets, and a good amount at least seem to question the decision. But also, with all the options out there and especially with what Udoka himself has said he wants mature, professional and players willing to sacrifice, how in the world does that spell Brooks? I can maybe understand having him as your 10th option, but to actually make him THE GUY behind FVV you want to sign is beyond me? Like why? What is he going to teach our young guys? How to antagonize great players so they will cook your ass all night? How to chuck shots when you're a poor shooter? How to ignore coach instructions and just do whatever you want? How to force yourself out of an organization who wouldn't even want you back for a single dime?

Every team likes to have a dog or two, so while Eason is the young bull they may just want a more experienced bulldog in Brooks, you could also add Tate to that list At least the practices would no doubt be a dog fight, Brooks did make 2nd squad all def. so he would at least help sharpen the games of the backcourt players in practice Now add Bev and those practices may turn into rugby matches I would only pivot to Brooks once I exhausted all other options and struck out, but the Rockets sponsors seem to think differently based on those media created narratives

Makes no sense to me when they have invested first round draft picks on the position in each of the last two drafts with two other guys on the roster who can fill the spot as well or better than Brooks. SF is the one spot they shouldn't be looking to add to.
Because our team is full of soft young players who don’t play D. Udoka wants to change the culture and needs a dog who plays defense: Brooks. I can’t say I love it, but I defer to Udoka.
They believe he is one of the best, if not THE best wing defender in the NBA. Defense is THE priority for next season. not more complicated than that.

Prioritize? I feel we (Rockets) offer Restricted Free Agent Cam Johnson an above market offer no matter what. If nothing else, to get the Nets to match so they have less money to spend elsewhere.....making them not as good....making our Harden deal better.
