Through all the Howard drama, noones talked about the rockets pursuit of Andre. I mean if we got him we'd have to move Parsons to the 4 but thats not a bad thing considering hes taller than all the other starting 4s we've had lately. He'd help our perimeter D and he'd go for cheaper allowig us to still sign some good role players. Yes I'd like to have Dwight, but tis isn't a bad fallback. What do you think clutchfans?
just because you have the height to play pf doesn't mean you're a pf. We will be hurt on the boards. Iggy is a great player but he's overrated for a player that is a 3rd/4th option on offense at best. The kings just offered him 14 mil per year. You really think he's worth that. Chandler can play a couple minutes at the 4 but you really think he's a starting 4? He's gonna guard Aldridge, Love, Garnett, Blake Griffin, etc.? No..
Here's the thing the other teams that are interested like the Kings and Pistons have no shot. He's getting older and if he wants a ring then he could take a few million less in Houston. If Howard signs I think Smith is in the bag. It's a pipe dream but if you could trade Lin and Dmo for a pick and attach White to Asik in a sign and trade for Smith you could go for broke and get all three. Iggy would have to take like 10 million would be the key and then sign Smith to go over the cap. Yeah I know but fun to speculate
I cannot vote in your poll because he would be redundant in our system. Unless he comes off the bench at 2/3 to backup Harden and Parsons, he is not worth the expense. And NO, I am not willing to give up Parsons to get him. If we strike out in the Dwightstakes and still want to spend money, we'd be better off getting Smith or another 4, since that is our big hole right now.
there should be a "no. we have chandler parsons" option. both play the 3, possibly stretch 4....chandler arguably eclipsed A.I's play last year...iggy's not getting better or younger either
We haven't discussed it? There's a thread already talking about it: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=239791
Andre is good, but he's not great. He'll be making a lot of money. He would make us better, but it would be very difficult to become a championship contender if we added him.
One of Parsons goals this off season was living in the weight room. If he bulks up just a little he is more than adequate to be our stretch 4. I wouldn't start him there but there are definite situations I would love to use him. But the reality is Iggy would probably the 4 before parsons in that situation. I think Iggy can guard alot of 4's in this league.
Because he'll rape the cap and and won't address our need for another franchise player thereby ultimately gimping us. He's currently being offered 56m/4yrs by the Kings as per Woj's report. The possibility of being marginally better for 16m/yr support role as well as 2 positions we're already set in? No thanks.

I pick Iggy over Chandler any day. Chandler is overrated imo. He did play well in the Playoffs that's about it. He's not athletic and not a good dribbler and passer. His layups sometimes get block as a result.
