Trade Drew for this guy. He's like a Mobley. Eddie House By: John Thompson Date: 01/31/2000 Scorer deluxe, Eddie House of Arizona State, needs to play the point guard position to be successful in the NBA. At this moment, the 6-1 House's scoring ability alone is helping him get looks by NBA teams. Eddie House 6-1, 180, Point Guard, Arizona State, Senior He is one of the most prolific scorers in the country, Eddie House, is tearing up the box scores all over the west coast. He has so far scored over 40 points in a game three times this season, including a 61-point outing against California in overtime. House has been a scorer since the moment he has landed on the Sun Devil campus. As a freshman, House averaged 12.6 points a game while dishing out 3.6 assists. In high school, he averaged 27.6 points at Haywood High School in Union City, California. He was not a highly recruited player or highly ranked, but he was considered one of the best seniors in California. As a freshman, House made the All Pac 10 freshman team, looked for his teammates, and played well defensively. His sophomore year, his stats dropped a bit, but he showed better shooting form and a better shot selection. His junior year, House stood out in many ways, especially shooting. He was scoring at a high clip, while at the same time looking for his teammates when he could. He did at times take some shots that were not great for the team, but when the game was on the line, no one else on the team would have wanted anyone else with the bal besides House. He was voted as an All-Pac 10 selection as well. Now as a senior, Eddie is scoring even greater and helping his team win while on pace to become the Arizona State's all time leading scorer. He would need to keep his 22.5 point average the rest of the season to get the career-lead for Arizona State. He has played for three different coaches his first three seasons in college, this season will be his second season with Rob Evans as the Sun Devils coach. One of the problems with Eddie is whether he would be able play the point guard spot in the NBA. At times, it looks like he could play the point full-time. Other times he plays a little out of control and looks only to shoot. He will need to play well in the summer camps and shot he can lead a team as well as score at will. There are a number of top point guards in the country he will be battling to be drafted in the upcoming draft. There are a lot of assist driven, team leaders that will make it hard for him to be a first rounder in the NBA draft. There are players like Mateen Cleaves, Scoonie Penn, Ed Cota, Jason Hart, A.J. Guyton, and Matt Santangelo that are all potential first round draft picks. There are also many underclassmen looking to leave for the NBA as well, like Erick Barkley, Khalid El-Amin, Keyon Dooling, and Jason Williams.
