Before he got hurt was of my favorite prospect of all time. It has been several years and at 6'7 he could suprise.
He plays mostly SG/SF these days if I'm not wrong? He's not a point anymore, lost a lot of lateral quickness and can't guard the small quick guys anymore. Still a decent defender though, but no shot whatsoever (never had one).
Maybe you should google the video of his injury. Give him credit for even walking again, much less playing in the NBA.
The more accurate summation would be to say he wasn't that good in the first place. His advanced and Per 36 numbers are actually better following the injury. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/l/livinsh01.html
He went to the high school 1/8 of a mile from my home. People in town were surprised that he skipped college. College would have done him well and made him overall stronger and perhaps no knee injury!
He's been tossed around team to team the past few years..that's not a good sign. Hope he gets waived and plays in the nbdl to prove himself there if he doesnt want to continue being tossed around. I dont think his knee has ever fully recovered
He's gonna be great defensively, create problems with his length as a PG. Mismatch in other teams' usually normal sized bench PG. Can guard and change shots of other teams' superstars. He's good to be on the bench! Change of pace. AGAIN. 6'7 PG/SG.
I still haven't seen any footage of his injury. I don't really know what happened to this day. Did his leg bend backwards?
I didn't even know he's still around until the trade. Thought his comeback was more a novelty and that he had no chance of actually sticking.
Not really fair. He came into the league as a 6-7 PG straight from high school, lauded for his abilities to be a distributor. Rookie point guards rarely do well off the bat, especially pass first ones. Also, for the sake of comparison, he was playing starter's minutes before and reserve minutes now. Not really apples to apples. He's not really a point guard anymore, but still a very good distributor and decision maker. Allows more lineup flexibility, and he's got a contract we can move easily.
