We payed a good game tonight, but it was clear that we lost the size battle. We had the smallest "center" in the league at 6'6 and our tallest players were 6'8. LA had two 7 footers. We lost countless battles for rebounds and easy buckets by sheer size alone. We were simply dominated and battered in the paint.

But LA is forgetting something. Next year, we're going to have Yao Ming back. He's 7'6. He makes Dwight Howard look bad. So just imagine what he's going to do to Bynum.

    See you next year, LA!

It all comes down to that humongous IF that has followed our team for the past 5 years...

    Ah, good point.

Thanks for repeating what I said last year. Scratch it. I have said the same thing for the past 4 years. :(

Lakers wont be the same next year anyways. Odom/Ariza comes off the books while Bynum got a huge pay increase. They're already at luxury tax so I think this season is their best chance.

I'm really tired of saying "next year when we're healthy." I honestly don't think anyone is afraid of a healthy rockets because they are like ghosts or bigfoot. Frightening to imagine, but not really a threat.

LA doesn't have to fear us. It's keeping Odom and Ariza for next year. They may the Celtics and Cavs, though.

Houston is not a serious threat until they manage injuries to their francise players as well as other championship teams.

I don't know where you get your stories. They're at 80 million already while Bynum makes close to 2 million. Next year he makes close to 13 million, they're not keeping Odom and Ariza unless they can afford to pay 90+ while salary cap is 65-68 or so.

The only thing Lakers fear is Kobe being another year older and injuries.

Exactly, dude. That's what I said. They don't have reason to fear us. Their real fear is keeping Odom and Bynum, and other teams like the Celtics and Cavaliers. Duh!

That's cute, but I don't see the Yao, Tmac, Artest combo ever being in the playoffs. Their constant injuries makes it hard to get them all playing on the floor for the post season. They are just getting slower and more fragile after each rehab.

we can easily say that each team can be scared, but each team lives for the present (if they're still in the playoffs, that is)

if we need to scare anyone, it should be the whole league...not L.A..
