Is he injured or something? Why isn't JVG giving him any minutes? I know the point of the trade was more to dump Mooch than aquire Spoon, but still, we have him, and he was once thought of as a great talent, with the potential to be like another Barkley. Let's see what he can do for us. I know he finally got a few minutes tonight in garbage time, but lets give him maybe 15-20 min a game and see if he can be a contributor.
Patience all i have to say. Posey didnt play for us until like a week after we obtained him, so I am sure he will play major mins soon.
On the radio before the game before this one, one of the assistants said that he was still learning the offense, and he wouldn't get major time until he had it down with a significant comfort level. I think his minutes should increase to those of a "significant sub" within the next 5 or so games.
Spoon played garbage minutes last nite. He looks out of shape having languished on the bench. My guess is that's he's on a "crash Cato-like" get your a** in shape regimen. Hopefully he's got some legs left. This guy is a rebounding fiend and should be able to provide some interior muscle and toughness. D R
He hasn't played because he is not up to JVG's level of fitness. He is on a fast track cardio regiment and learning our offensive playsets and defensive schemes.
