Is this a mistake or did I just miss something? Wang Zhizhi is playing on Golden State's summer league team? Here's the link: http://www.proexposure.com/stories/0713m.cfm
He is a restricted free agent, and has stated that he apparently wants to go to a team that will give him more minutes and a bigger role. I think he prefers the Clippers or the Warriors.
I think he will still be a Dallas since Mark Cuban will match any offer...plus Mruphy of the Warriors plays a simliar role as Wang..If wang goes to East, he might be dominate?
The Mavs promised the Chinese officials to let Wang go back to China in summer, Wang didn't do that as he wants to stay in America to improve his game. The Mavs can't make him play on their summer league team to avoid looking like breaching agreement and Wang goes to play for the Warriors. It's likely Wang has the intention to be a Warrior for more playing time and shots, but that won't matter as he's a restricted free agent and Mark Cuban wouldn't let him go.
Swopa's a well-respected poster here who happens to be a Warriors fan. As for what Swopa might mean....well, that's something he'd have to answer himself.
Actually Wang did ask to be on the Mavs summer league squad but Nellie told him he couldn't because of his current situation with China. Like you said, Nellie and the Mavs didn't want to look like they were breaching the contract they agreed apon with the Chinese Gov. He'll still be a Mavs this year and has already said that he wants to return to the Mavs. He did say though that he wants more PT and that is part of the reason he stayed in the States, to get better so he can get more PT.
