    Cause they're young.

It's like this in most sports. Younger teams, especially ones trying to establish a confidence and identity, really feed off the home crowd and its energy.

For all our talent, they're still learning, and on the road there's always a tendency to lose confidence after a few bad plays with the entire building against you. Learning to ignore it comes with experience, and we should get better as the season goes on.

They do not defend well, especially at the end of the game.

jitters and youth... This is where I wish a veteran like glenrice would step up a bit more. Come play off time if we can't win under the pressure of a road game during a normal season I think these guys are going to somewhat crumble. I really don't believe steve is trying too much during road games but it is somewhat the others around him. Yao seems to look a bit jittery out there too. Maybe it is because he is exhausted. Whatever it is I sure hope they learn to play away and everyone gets a little more comfortable out there.

No matter how much experience you have, 6'0", 6'3" guards defend 6'7" SG/SF are not going to get it done. At least not on a consistent basis. We know Rice can not defend anymore. He has plenty of experience.

We are still at the regular season. During playoffs, these things are going to be magnified. Then everybody will realize it.

As I said before, if we lose, it is mostly because of opponent's PF or one of the guards. Gasol abused us tonight.

Their defense fails them in the clutch. Shooting worse in another arena is expected, but loosening up on defensive intensity is unacceptable.

    Why we lost games?
We can blame on this or that,we can say it's because of the fault of defense or the foolish TOs,or we can even querrel on the tactics.

But man it's just a game!Grizzles played wild and we lost, nothing anormal!
No team can always win games,as no player can always make good descions in 48 mins.
Remeber the shock Yao brings to us?Remeber there are just few vets in the team? The team we've got is young, they are adjusting to each other just as we fans are adjusting to their performance. We cannot expect them to be perfect in every game,OK?
The tactics should be examined, the staff will be adjusted, and some trades will be made. We'll go ahead step by step and it just takes time.So man we should not be too optimistic or too pessimistic now,and I dont think the conclusions like "Rox is a bad road team" is welcomed.

I agree with this. I really do wonder how impossible were those shots by j-dub. I honestly believe taht we could have stopped them with proper team defence. I hope we improve on all these aspects with time.

We have the wrong players on the court in crunch time.

I think this will change. Rox will end year a good road team.

    one word sums it all

    selfish !!!

    yes..selfish !!!

the guards are jacking up shots all night long
don't pass to the big guy

most of yao's baskets are follow ups
why he got so many off. rebounds....it's because those guys
forcing way too many long Js

wow, one great post and then one r****ded post.

first, joethajoker, great post. it is true. the grizz are playing inspired ball right now, they have a 4(?) game winning streak and were all pumped up to play a better team. it is very usual, that a good team will take a poor team lightly, and not play as tough on D. we will recover, and make adjustments. tough loss, but it will be ok.

second, jh3lau, please shut up. have you ever played basketball? in basketball, you do what is called, "feeding the hot hand" in other words, somebody is knocking down their shots and can score consistantly, you keep trying to take advantage. did you watch the game? yao was missing alot of shots, and was getting stripped of the ball. the only reason his fg% was not entirely horrible was because of putbacks. he did not have his game tonite, so what do you do? you go to the higher % shot, which was franchise or cat this game.

so please, stop with all this ****, overreacting is stupid, and suggesting that the rockets play "team ball" by passing to yao every f*ckin time down the floor is absurd. just chill, fools!

    I agree with you.

But I won't call that selfish. I don't think our guards wanted to make himself a star out of one game. They just don't have enough experince to win under those pressure.
Considering the future, Rockets should be happy to have a lose like this. Now they knew what to do next.
