I thought he was suppose to be traded or cut…I can’t wait till he is cause Rockets are soooooo much better without him…Since we have Francis and Mike James why do we even need rafer. ..Just cut him…I think Francis should be the starter he a much better fit for the up-tempo style we want to play…why is rafer still on the team..worse starting pg in the NBA@! So what if Francis isn’t a true pg …this team doesn’t need a true pg..what’s the difference anyway…all you have to do is bring the ball up the court….and give it to Tmac or yao..anybody can do that! Rafers terrible shooting is why we lose to the jazz last year..Rafer also caused the Holocaust! God I hope he’s cut.. I’m starting worry Rockets might keep him!

Right now I do not understand thread like that. Why should we trade him now? For who? Tell me cause I do not know.

Rafer played pretty well in game against the NO. He was a playmaker. He as runnin' the offense. I know they sucked but even Tracy didn't handle the ball on ours half and I'm glad with it.

It doesn't matter who it is. If he plays good I'll leave him. Adelman told Rafer to be a pg and do not pass the ball to Tracy on ours half. And he did it

Well see how he will play against Panathinaikos

I was going to say the same thing, did you watch the game last night?

Rafer did very well when he was in the game. He only took one or two ill advised shots and did really well pushing the ball up the court.

In fact, I thought he did much better than Mike James. James shot decently, but he didn't do as well as Rafer creating in the offense.

Stevie really didn't get much play last night, so I expect to see him and Brooks on Thursday.

Everyone needs to understand, the main problem with Rafer last year was his being the third scorer, when he's not a scorer. If he can be the last option then he can be very effective as a distributor.

You have Z E R O understanding of ANY concept of basketball if you think PG's only job is to bring the ball up the court.
No IDIOT would EVER consider cutting rafer, because he has a GOOD trade value, and cutting him does NOT help our cap.

But then again you understand nothing.

And just so you KNOW. This team needs a TRUE PG, passing is a KEY in this offense.

Whats the difference? I sure wouldnt depend on you to know that basketball is even a sport.

Agree. He knows his role right now. He know there are a lot of players, there are Tracy and Yao who can score and he doesn't have to do it. He just has to make the game easier for other temmates and I think he did it pretty well last game

How many times have we seen this thread?

IMO, I think this offense suits skip's game pretty well. I wouldnt be surprised at all if he sticks around. I like Mike as the sparkplug scorer off the bench.

I suggest actually watching the games before starting threads like this.

I'm getting tired of you Rafer Fanboys.always coming to his defense...Rockets need a good "scoring" pg like Mike Bibby or Tony Parker..Rafer is a horrible shooter and a poor decision maker... with Aldermans motion offesne we don't need a true point!!

IMO, he is not good at being the starting PG. However, if he backups at the bench, he will be more efficient than James.

On the other hand, Rafer only get about 4 million(?) a year. How well can you want him to do?

Ok so trade Rafer for Bibby. If you do that you'll be the best

Man just watch that game with NO and than make threads like that

I was just using Bibby as an example as the type of PG that is good for Alderman's system..we have two good scoring guards in James and Francis already!

Did Mike Bibby under Adermans system win a Champion?
Spurs is different from Kings that its coach was Adermans.

wow that was the most stupidest thing ive ever read. rafer was by far our best PG last night. i feel he will be great in a limited role on the team. he was pushing the pace and he has the best court sense out of all our guards.

with mike james potentially holding onto the ball too long and francis looking like a deer in headlights and causing stupid turnovers, we are defintely keeping rafer.

I hate to say it but this team needs RA. I was hoping that SF will take his place but I think SF is not a solution. SF is completely far from what he used to be.

You are out of line here. Yes Rafer looked the best in the first pre-season game, but the problem is Rafer has looked good at times before and then stunk it up big time when it counted. This has happened too many times to trust that he is not going to do it again.

I am not sure who the starting pg should be but between Francis James and Brooks 1 of them will emerge as a better more dependable pg sooner or later.

So unless Rafer just totally outplays the others all pre-season, then considering him in trade talks should still be a viable option. Oh and telling someone to commit suicide for having an opinion different than yours makes you ignorant.

What we REALLY need is a good point-forward.
