His shot has always had less arc than your regular NBA jumpshot, but this season he has a really noticeably low arc.
cuz he's trying to be the 3rd offensive option or star...instead of just focusing on his role and defense
He's trying too hard to score on offense..he just needs to go back doing Chandler Parsons things and he'll be fine.
2nd round pick Chandler Parsons His game will come back, he just needs to calm down a bit and accept his role as the glue guy.
If anything, his shot arc isn't the problem. At least, not when you compare it to last year. He's noticeably slower on his release this year, so he actually drops a couple of inches before he lets go of his release, which - coupled with is flat shot - is pretty much ruining his shooting percentages from 3.
Hey guys, just because he takes care of his hair and looks really pretty doesn't mean we can comment about his blobs. They will grow in when they grow in... All joking aside, he's really killing my fantasy team. I need a decent game from him tonight.
Probably spent a lot of the offseason showboating instead of seriously working on his game. Everyone else seems to have gotten better except him.
People bought into the media hype about him being a rising 'star', and now will be disappointed when he averages 13 ppg at best this year. Same phenomenon with Lin last year. You have people right now cussing me out for calling him 'mediocre' as if I hate the guy. My prediction is: by the end of the year, I am going to be the one defending him against all the people who are calling for his head. He was never as good as people thought, and he's not as bad as he looks right now. Mediocre is just all around mediocre.
Parsons' shoot is always flat. because he is shooting on his way down, instead of shooting on his way up. Talking about slow release, this is a prime example. If you look at it closely, you will see he is always shoot it on the way down, I remember someone was talking about it, either Grantland or Matt Bullard.
it hasn't been that bad. just early shooting woes. I don't know why he keeps taking the 3pointer from the top of the 3pt line.
It's not the same. Lin had to adapt to a different role + get used to being a starter. Difficult to live up to hype if you have to make dramatic changes.
