I realize they're probably wearing ankle socks, but why?

Why did the Mike Tyson look all of a sudden become cool? Anyone ever wonder how stupid trends like that get started?

Ankle socks are too high. I pull them down so it looks like I have no socks on.

    Gotta look like a baller.

edit - I don't know who started the trend, but it looks nice.

I always volley between knee highs and ankle, its entirely dependent on my play though. If I'm not feeling particularly on cue, ankle. While if there is even a shred of fire inside, knee highs. Nonetheless when I wear ankle socks (except with most of my higher cut shoes) they are visible, so as to not piss off any more freakies. ;)

All trends are created by a group made up of the CEO's of the 5 largest multinational corportations. They sit in a room, smoke cigars and plan out the future of the world - everything from alien invasions and New Coke to sock height and the balance of power in the Middle East.

Sheesh, where have you guys been?

    :)

Oh, sorry, my mistake. I got that mixed up with something else. I think this will help clear things up...

I asked my buddy who plays V-ball for Pearland why it's so cool to wear girlie socks, and he explained that "it looks clean, dog, it looks real clean, like my ride"

The heel socks show off your leg muscles better than higher socks. That's the main reason they got started and to me they are more comfortable too.

Black socks aren't cool unless your 65, wearing shorts and white athletic shoes, and are at the beach.
