Call it knee jerk if you want, but this man struggled mightily last year, struggled in spring training, and is not starting this year off so hot either! What has he done to deserve a spot in the rotation!

Im tryna figure that out also. Porter should have just let Peacock in the rotation instead of Harrell. At least Peacock's upside is better than Harrell's. We know what we have with him.

I don't think he will be for long.

I think Harrell is still around partly because we still need guys to eat innings and need a bit more time to dash uncertainty wrt certain players.

Appel (or someone else) will be ready at some point and when that happens, someone in the starting lineup will get his pink slip.

So the timing may rest more on how the minor league guys progress rather than how the major league guys fail.

My guess is that Ludhow doesn't want a demotion to shake the confidence of pitcher with value when Folty comes up.

im guessing they're giving him one last shot at finding his 2012 success...though it doesnt look like hell be able to find it...i think the club gives his 2-4 more starts if the outcome is similar to yesterdays..

but boy was that painful to watch. dude couldnt throw a strike

You have to actually get people out to eat up innings.

I assume it's because Bo Porter likes him. Same with Chris Carter.

He probably likes the 30 HR with Carter, can't say I blame him

He's halfway in the bullpen and halfway in the rotation. Kinda like Jerome Williams on the other end I guess.
