I don't think I've ever seen someone sit in for Letterman. I missed the beginning of the show...why is he hosting tonight?

Dave has some sort of eye infection.

Bruce Willis is a presence, but I think it would get old pretty quick, and he'd probably be the first to point that out.

Not bad though. He da man!

I love Bruce Willis as an actor but his interviewing skills are lacking. Watching him try to interview Dan Rather about his interview with Saddam was brutal.

I thought it was kinda funny. Was kinda weird watching him with Dan Rather but worked it well interviewing Carmen Electra. Loved that they showed the skit with him as a stripper (old footage when Demi did Striptease and was on Letterman at the time and did that skit).

Eye infection shelves Letterman, Bruce Willis to fill in

NEW YORK (AP) — David Letterman took a rare sick day on Wednesday, staying home from his Late Show because of an eye infection.

Actor Bruce Willis was an emergency replacement, called upon to interview Dan Rather about the CBS anchor's interview with Saddam Hussein.

Except for when he missed time following a heart bypass operation, it's the first time Letterman has called in sick in 20 years, a Late Show representative said.

Late Show will air reruns on Thursday and Friday. Next week is a planned "dark" week, when reruns will also air.

This is out of the subject but WTF is up with Don King on Jimmy Kimmel? He has to be the WORST co-host. I was looking forward with the interview with Vince Vaughn but DK would shut the hell up with promoting this weekends fight. Plus Mario Beltrumi (SP?), who is hot as hell, looked embaressed to even be there, although DK was more quiet throughout the interivew.

DK is way over the top. He doesn't give the guest time to talk. I think he freaked out Nicole Eggert last night. Between his promotion of the Jones fight and his love affair with Kimmel, he is making this show worse than ever before (and I didn't even think that was possible!)

I miss Snoop. Even Kathy Griffin wasn't that bad!

Yeah, that would be the Aussie/British way of spelling "realized".

Bruce lost that weight for a role. All in all, I found the show entertaining and it goes to show that not just anyone can host a late night talk show.

    Ugh. Worst comedian ever.

I've never wanted to punch a girl so bad in my life when I see her on television.

Snoop should be Kimmel's permanent co-host. I remember the last episode Snoop went to the flea market to get Kimmel some new threads. It was hilarous watching Snoop argue with the shop owners. Or how about Snoop's garage sale :D

Dave gets a lot of time off with his new CBS contract, and I wish Letterman would have guest hosts on when he is out. Bruce did a good job, and Bruce is a good guest when Dave is on. They feed off one another.

That is the only way I would even watch the show. I was never a Snoop fan, but that week he had me laughing my @$$ off. Coming on with a bottle of booze, then ABC saying he could not have a bottle so he came out with pre-mixed drinks. By the end of the show you could tell he was getting a buzz. That was quality.
